How to Save Email as PDF in Outlook and Gmail Apps

Saving your emails as PDFs is one way to keep copies. In this guide, I explain the steps to save email as PDF in Windows Outlook and Gmail for Android apps.

Option 1: Save Outlook Email as a PDF on Windows

  1. Highlight-click the email you want to save in Outlook by clicking it. If images are not displaying, right-click one image on the email and select Download Pictures.
By default, Outlook does not download images. To ensure that when you save an email as PDF the images are saved, you must download the images before you proceed.

Option 2: Save Gmail Email as a PDF on Android

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android phone and open the email you want to save. Then, on the top right of the email, tap the 3 vertical dots on the top right and tap Print.
