If you want another game like Lost and Found Co., start with Hidden Folks: it is the closest match for poking around busy illustrated scenes, and Steam even bundles the two together. For another story-led search, try Finding Hannah; for a gentler puzzle without a list of objects to find, choose A Little to the Left or Unpacking. These recommendations split into two groups because the defining appeal of Lost and Found Co. is not simply that it is cozy: it combines interactive search scenes with characters, a continuing story and room decorating.

What makes a game like Lost and Found Co.?
Lost and Found Co. is a single-player hidden-object adventure by Thai studio Bit Egg Inc., published with Gamirror Games. It launched on Windows and macOS through Steam on 6 March 2026. In Plumville, Ducky—a duck turned into a human boy—helps the small dragon goddess Mei recover belongings for townspeople and rebuild her standing. The story gives the search a purpose beyond clearing a checklist: the lost-property work supports Mei’s shrine and brings the community into the plot.
The levels are densely packed, animated, isometric illustrations. Players click objects and characters, work through lists of targets, and sometimes uncover items hidden behind other details. Optional objectives and bonus stages add reasons to explore after the main list; collectible “juju” creatures grant extra hints. An in-game social feed unlocks more scenarios, and a room editor lets players decorate Ducky’s bedroom. Bit Egg described the launch as containing 26+ illustrated scenes. Wikipedia’s account of the campaign gives eleven story chapters and more than fifteen stages; those are different counts, not interchangeable totals.

The closest recommendations below preserve the search-and-click loop. The second group is for players who mainly want the unhurried mood, object interaction or gentle puzzle-solving. That distinction matters: a relaxing game with puzzles is not automatically a hidden-object game.

Which hidden-object games are closest to Lost and Found Co.?
Choose one of these if what you want is another crowded scene to inspect. Hidden Folks is the strongest overall match; the others vary in story, art style, scope and how directly they reproduce the find-the-target loop.
1. Hidden Folks — closest overall
Hidden Folks is the best first stop for players who want to click through a detailed world and notice small surprises. Its hand-drawn, black-and-white ink landscapes are a clear contrast with Lost and Found Co.’s colorful animation, but the shared pleasure is exploring scenes that respond to curiosity rather than staring at a static picture.
Developer Adriaan de Jongh described the aim to The Verge as: “We wanted to make a very playful, interactive game where our focus was invoking this curiosity for these little worlds and the little stories that unfolded.” The game launched in 2017, and Pocket Tactics describes it as having more than 25 hand-drawn levels, hints and a soundtrack made with mouth sounds. Its less color-coded imagery can make targets harder to spot than in a bright, clearly differentiated scene. Steam’s “Hidden and Lost” bundle pairs it with Lost and Found Co., a particularly direct signpost for anyone deciding what to play next. Platforms cited include Steam, Switch and mobile; Pocket Tactics also notes Steam Deck.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2. Finding Hannah — for a stronger family narrative
Finding Hannah is a good fit if you liked that objects in Plumville connect to people and their lives, and want that relationship to carry more of the experience. Its hidden-object story follows Hannah through decades as she seeks answers from her mother and grandmother, using soft, bright art rather than Hidden Folks’s monochrome ink. Pocket Tactics lists iOS and Steam Deck among its platforms. The available platform information is narrower than for some other picks, so check the current store listing for the device you intend to use.
3. Hidden Through Time and Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic — for eras and map-making
These games turn the search into a tour through historical settings: a medieval market or Roman baths, for example. The central activity is still scanning illustrated scenes for requested objects, while a map editor adds a creative option beyond solving the built-in levels. The sequel, Myths & Magic, is available on Switch; the platform details for the original are not specified here. Pocket Tactics and Gameaton both describe the series as low-pressure and non-violent. Gameaton scores the original 94/100 and the sequel 87/100 on its own scale; those are Gameaton scores, not Metacritic ratings.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
4. Wind Peaks — for a shorter camp-themed search
Wind Peaks trades Plumville’s town life for a cartoon forest and scout camp. It has ten hand-drawn levels, making it a smaller outing than a campaign built around many illustrated stages. Pocket Tactics describes it as suitable for either a coffee break or a longer sit and lists Switch, mobile and Steam Deck. Its story is lighter than Lost and Found Co.’s, but the basic activity—looking carefully through an illustrated environment—is a close match.
5. A Building Full of Cats — for an inexpensive, straightforward hunt
If you mainly want to find things at your own pace, this is the simplest recommendation: look for more than 360 cats across the scenes. It is less of a character-driven adventure than Lost and Found Co., but it keeps the search itself front and center. Alchemess reported 4,485 Steam reviews and an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on 11 September 2026, and listed the price as US$2.99 on that date. That price is a dated listing, not a guarantee of the current price.
6. Whisper of the House — for cozy atmosphere
Whisper of the House is a fit if atmosphere and a relaxed, story-rich tone matter as much as ticking targets off a list. Gameaton highlights its immersive feel and lack of survival pressure. It is a more qualitative recommendation than a promise of identical mechanics: confirm the current Steam description to see whether its particular search and interaction systems suit you.
7. Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective — for a playable picture-book feel
Labyrinth City adapts the children’s book series Pierre the Maze Detective. It shares the pleasure of searching a busy illustration, but adds maze navigation rather than simply reproducing a list-based hidden-object stage. Pick it if you enjoy tracing routes through a crowd of details, or if you want a game that points back to physical search-and-find books.
Which cozy puzzle adventures are similar in mood, not mechanics?
These are better choices when you want a calm game about arranging objects, taking pictures or solving gentle environmental puzzles—not another find-list. The official Steam “A Little Lost” bundle connects Lost and Found Co. with A Little to the Left; it is a useful adjacent recommendation, though the two games ask you to look at objects in different ways.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

8. A Little to the Left — for sorting and satisfying arrangements
Instead of searching a crowded scene, you organize household objects by stacking, aligning or sorting them. The puzzles are untimed and can be skipped, and a cat may undo the arrangement. That combination makes it a strong pick for players who liked the care given to objects—or decorating Ducky’s room—more than the actual search list. The Steam “A Little Lost” bundle pairs it with Lost and Found Co.. Alchemess listed 19,064 Steam reviews, a Very Positive rating and a US$14.99 price on 11 September 2026; Switchblade Gaming cites five to eight hours of play plus daily puzzles. Those figures come from the named sources, and the price and review count are date-specific.
9. Unpacking — for objects that tell a life story
Unpacking asks you to place belongings in rooms across a series of house moves. It is not a hunt for hidden targets, but its attention to personal objects and the spaces they occupy makes it a natural choice for someone who liked Plumville’s little stories or Ducky’s bedroom editor. The store-page promise quoted by Alchemess is “meditative gameplay with no timers, meters or scores.” Alchemess counted 40,752 Steam reviews on 11 September 2026; Switchblade Gaming gives a three-to-five-hour estimate and cited a price of about $20. Those are source-reported figures, not a live quote.
10. TOEM: A Photo Adventure — for exploring with a camera
TOEM shifts the checklist into photography: travel, take pictures of requested subjects and collect stamps in a travel book. It shares a gentle, observational quality with the best search games, while replacing object-clicking with camera-based exploration. Fiction Horizon describes its camera-and-checklist loop; Gameaton gave it 99/100 on Gameaton’s own scale. The cited platforms are PC, PlayStation and Switch.
11. A Short Hike — for a compact island escape
In A Short Hike, you climb and glide around an island, collect golden feathers, fish and help residents, including by delivering mail. It has no hidden-object list, but it is a good choice when you want a small, low-stakes adventure rather than another detailed search scene. Switchblade Gaming estimates roughly 1.5–3 hours and about $8, and lists PC and all major consoles. Treat that price as an approximate source figure, not a current storefront guarantee.
12. The Last Campfire — for diorama logic puzzles
The Last Campfire is a gentle adventure built around self-contained environmental puzzles involving things such as switches, blocks and perspective. It also includes optional harder shrines, so it offers more puzzle challenge than a simple find-list without making combat the focus. The Cozy Gaming Nook and Fiction Horizon describe it as a gentle puzzle-adventure; cited platforms include PC, consoles and mobile.

13. The Gardens Between — for time-manipulating scenes
The Gardens Between uses compact dioramas and time manipulation to build puzzles around the movement of two characters through surreal environments. It is a fit for players drawn to the handcrafted scenes and reflective mood of Lost and Found Co., but its logic is about changing events and perspective, not locating a named object. CozyWorld describes its puzzles as dreamy, and cited platforms include PC, consoles and mobile.
How do Lost and Found Co.’s reception and limitations affect the choice?
The game has unusually strong reception for a hidden-object release, but ratings cannot tell you whether you prefer a long campaign, an untimed sorting puzzle or a short exploration game. Metacritic lists 90/100 from six critic reviews in 2026, while the Steam store page showed 97% positive from 1,483 English-language reviews when accessed on 29 October 2026. Bit Egg said the game had sold more than 100,000 copies by August 2026; its October Switch announcement, quoted by Gematsu, repeated that it had sold over 100,000 copies. It also won Thai Game of the Year 2026, alongside awards for game design, visuals, music and audio at Thai Game Fest.
Reviews commonly praise animation, story, optional objectives and decoration. The trade-offs reported by critics and Gameaton include later difficulty spikes, weak hints for some optional objectives, occasional translation or spelling errors, minor bugs and loading issues, and decorating controls that can feel awkward on some devices. Those caveats matter most if you want a consistently easy search or rely on hints to identify every optional target. The core game is intended to be accessible, but that does not mean every late-stage target is immediately obvious.

The studio has not confirmed a mobile release date, despite earlier discussion of mobile at Wholesome Direct in 2024. Nor does the Switch announcement establish a boxed edition. If you want a physical version of the same kind of activity, Bit Egg itself described the game as bringing the appeal of classic puzzle books like “Where’s Waldo?” into an animated world. In the United States, Where’s Waldo is the familiar name; the books are called Where’s Wally elsewhere. Labyrinth City offers another book connection through Pierre the Maze Detective.
How we picked these games
The closest matches keep the central verbs of Lost and Found Co.: inspect an illustrated scene, click or interact with details, and search without combat or a timer. Within that group, the list favors variety in story weight, visual style and scale—from Hidden Folks’s inked miniatures to Finding Hannah’s family narrative and A Building Full of Cats’s focused cat hunt. The second group deliberately relaxes the mechanics requirement: those games are included for players who wanted the cozy mood, object care or gentle puzzle solving, not another hidden-object stage. Platform, price and review figures are included only where the cited sources provide them, with dates attached where the figures can change.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Lost and Found Co. a Where’s Waldo-style game?

How many levels does Lost and Found Co. have?
The figures describe different parts of the game: Wikipedia lists eleven story chapters and more than fifteen stages, while Bit Egg’s launch materials advertised 26+ illustrated scenes. Updates added further stages after launch, so those counts should not be treated as the same measure.

A mobile version is not established as currently available, and no mobile release date is confirmed. Earlier mobile discussion at Wholesome Direct in 2024 is not a release announcement.
Does Lost and Found Co. have a physical Switch edition?
