So “Bloodborne PC port” is commonly used as shorthand for community-run software workarounds, not for a PC product released by Sony or FromSoftware. The two documented approaches below differ in scope and implementation.

shadPS4: a general PS4 emulator
shadPS4 is a general-purpose PS4 emulator for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Its project README says it can run Bloodborne, but also describes the emulator as early in development and cautions users not to expect a flawless experience. bbport: a game-specific compatibility project
bbport is scoped to Bloodborne version 1.09 and describes its status as “experimental, playable.” Its repository outlines a converted game executable, a small runtime implementing the PS4 functions used by the game, and a graphics core derived from shadPS4. What to expect from performance and compatibility
The project materials do not establish dependable minimum PC specifications, a guaranteed frame rate, or compatibility across all computers. A project version number is evidence of project activity, not proof of a particular level of Bloodborne performance. For the same reason, treat claims about a particular computer achieving a particular result as system- and build-specific anecdotes unless they come with reproducible testing. The project statements support “can run” for shadPS4 and “experimental, playable” for bbport—not a guarantee of a stable playthrough.

Controls and setup considerations
A controller is optional, not a stated performance requirement. shadPS4 documentation says Xbox and DualShock controllers work out of the box and also lists keyboard mappings. Before choosing a route, check the project’s current instructions for its supported operating system, required game build, and setup process. The general emulator and game-specific project have different scopes, and the cited materials do not provide a fair performance comparison or establish a simple, universal setup path.

Which route makes sense?
- Consider shadPS4 if you want to explore a general PS4 emulator whose README explicitly names Bloodborne and supports Windows, Linux, and macOS. Expect an early-development project rather than a polished, guaranteed PC release.
- Consider bbport if you are specifically evaluating the project built around Bloodborne v1.09 and are comfortable with its explicitly experimental status and game-specific implementation.
