How Whiteboard Fox works
Whiteboard Fox is designed for quick shared drawing rather than a complicated setup. Create a board in a web browser and invite others using the board’s page link or ID. The Whiteboard Fox homepage says changes are relayed to other participants “within a few seconds”; that is the vendor’s description, not an independently measured speed guarantee. Whiteboard Fox
Choose what participants can do
When setting up a board, you can grant view-only access, allow participants to draw and erase their own drawing, or let them draw and erase anything. For a class, workshop, or client session, select the least permissive option that still lets people contribute. Broad editing access is convenient for open collaboration, but gives participants control over more of the board.
Use it on a tablet
Whiteboard Fox says its boards support tablet pinch-to-zoom and stylus use. A stylus is optional; if you plan to buy one, check that it is compatible with your specific tablet. Whiteboard Fox for business

Is Whiteboard Fox free?

Who is Whiteboard Fox best for?
Whiteboard Fox’s link-based workflow and drawing permissions make it a practical option when a group needs to sketch or mark up ideas together without much setup. A 2020 guide from MIT’s Office of Educational Innovation and Technology described it as simple and best suited to communicating ideas through sketches. That guide also noted limitations in its assessment at the time, including a lack of file attachments and sticky notes; those observations are historical, not confirmation of current feature availability. If you are comparing it with another whiteboard, consider the work you need to do rather than relying on an old ranking. Check how guests join, whether you can limit editing, whether the product currently supports sticky notes or file attachments, how long boards remain available, whether its tablet input suits your group, and what paid features cost.
