Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 continues the retro FPS series that began with Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Auroch Digital is developing the sequel, and Big Fan Games—a Devolver Digital publishing label—is publishing it. Auroch Digital’s official game page identifies it as a sequel.
When does Boltgun 2 release, and which platforms are confirmed?
Auroch Digital and the official Warhammer trailer give October 14, 2026, as the scheduled launch date for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The trailer specifically names Steam for PC. These sources do not establish that the game has already launched; the date is its announced release date.

Can you play a demo before launch?
Yes. Auroch Digital’s FAQ says a demo is live on Steam and is Steam-exclusive. The available announcement does not say that a demo is available on PlayStation or Xbox. See the developer’s FAQ for the stated demo availability.
What has been announced about the sequel?
A Steam announcement lists purity seal collectibles, pixel-art cinematics, new taunts for both characters, and a Mick Gordon track among the sequel’s additions. These are announcement details, not a substitute for independent gameplay impressions. The original Boltgun is a separate game; Auroch Digital’s page for it lists PC and consoles, including PS5, and describes mature content involving violence, blood, and gore. That description is not a rating determination for Boltgun 2.
