The listed 4,500-nit peak brightness is a manufacturer figure for local peak brightness, not a promise of that brightness across the entire screen in ordinary use. vivo’s update commitment for the Ultra comes from its dated launch announcement; check vivo for current support status.
What the spec differences mean
Display: more pixels on the Ultra
The screen sizes and refresh rates are nearly identical, but the Ultra’s 2800 × 1260 resolution is higher than the Pro’s 2392 × 1080. That is a measurable specification advantage; it does not by itself establish which display looks better in every situation.

Cameras: stronger stated selfie hardware on the Ultra
Both phones list a 50 MP OIS main rear camera and an 8 MP secondary rear camera, although the main sensor models differ. The Ultra’s clearest camera-hardware distinction is its 50 MP autofocus front camera, compared with the Pro’s 16 MP front camera. Durability: IP68 is the Ultra’s advantage, not a waterproof guarantee
The Pro is rated IP64 and the Ultra IP68. vivo says the Ultra rating reflects controlled laboratory submersion in fresh water up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes. Which one should you choose?
- Choose the T3 Ultra on specification priorities if you want the higher-resolution display, the higher-tier listed chipset, autofocus on the higher-resolution front camera, or the IP68 rating. These are hardware-based reasons, not claims from comparative hands-on testing.
- Consider the T3 Pro when price matters most and its listed display, battery and charging specifications suit you. Confirm the live price and stock before deciding.
- Match the RAM and storage configuration when comparing prices. The Ultra’s 12GB+256GB version has no equivalent Pro configuration in the cited official listings.
