What the host does
The host supplies the world state for the session. In practical terms, the group should decide whose campaign, map state or questline is the one it wants to move forward before starting. A different player can host another session later, but that session will use the second host’s world state.
What guests bring
Guests bring their own characters rather than creating a temporary party-only avatar. Their character advancement persists, so playing with a friend can still be useful for building that character even when the host’s world is the one being used.

- Your selected character remains your character when you leave the session.
- Levels and other character advancement are intended to persist with that character.
- The host’s world is the reference point for the active session.

Official information reviewed for the current build does not conclusively document the behavior of every main quest, side quest, reward, checkpoint or objective when a guest returns to a separate world. Do not promise that finishing a quest in a friend’s world marks that quest complete in the guest’s own world. The Steam page is the current reference for the PC build and lists online multiplayer/co-op. It also lists an SSD requirement; no particular capacity or interface follows from that requirement, so check the live system-requirements panel rather than assuming a drive size.

The official PlayStation concept listing establishes PS5 as an announced platform. It does not, by itself, establish a currently downloadable multiplayer build, a launch date for co-op, or cross-play with PC.

Xbox’s official announcement dated October 29, 2026 identifies Xbox Series X|S as an announced platform and discusses split-screen as upcoming. The announcement date is not a verified split-screen launch date, so do not describe local multiplayer as already shipped.

Does Titan Quest 2 have couch co-op or split-screen?
