Check the Japanese storefront for the final listing, because launch timing, regional availability and physical formats can differ outside Japan.

When does Phantom Blade Zero come out in Japan?
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC. It is the week’s principal PS5-and-PC launch. The Japanese calendar identifies the date and platforms, but the cited listing does not document a physical Amazon product for the game. Buyers looking for a disc or packaged edition should therefore confirm the Japanese retailer listing rather than assume one is available.

Is ANOMALITH on Switch 2, PS5 and PC?
Yes. ANOMALITH is scheduled for October 29 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. A Japan package version for Nintendo Switch 2 is documented in a Japanese listing, while a separate worldwide calendar labels the Switch 2 launch as digital. That difference means the existence of a Japanese package listing should not be treated as proof that every region will receive a physical copy.
How to interpret the format information
- Japan: a Nintendo Switch 2 package listing is documented.
- Worldwide: the Switch 2 version is identified as a digital launch in the worldwide calendar.
- Before buying: check the country-specific Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store or PC storefront, and confirm whether the retailer is selling an import package or a local release.
What releases are on October 29?
October 29 is the densest day of the week. Alongside Phantom Blade Zero and ANOMALITH, PS5 players have Dune: Awakening and SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding. Hunting Simulator 3 is listed for PS5 and Xbox Series, while STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is listed for Xbox Series. Nintendo platforms receive a broad slate that includes the Switch 2 edition of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition, Sanrio Party Land and Sulfur, with availability split between Switch and Switch 2 according to the individual listing.
Why the October 29 list needs a platform check
Several entries are editions or platform expansions rather than a single identical release across every system. The Demon Slayer entry is specifically a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Cities: Skylines is identified as an Expanded Edition. A store page may therefore show different upgrade rules, content bundles or purchase options for the standard Switch, Switch 2 and other versions.

How should you check a Japanese release before purchasing?
- Confirm the date in the Japanese store: calendar dates are Japan listings and can differ from a local midnight release or a later regional launch.
- Match the exact platform: distinguish PS5 from PS4, Switch from Switch 2, and a PC listing from a console version.
- Identify the release type: look for wording such as “Edition,” “Expanded Edition,” port, Early Access or a digital-only designation.
- Verify language and account region: an imported package may not carry the same language support, DLC entitlement or account compatibility as a local copy.
- Check physical availability separately: a package listing in Japan does not establish that a physical version is sold worldwide.
Which platforms are represented this week?
The calendar covers Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and mobile devices. The broadest single-platform coverage is on PC, while October 29 concentrates major console launches across PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo systems. Mobile coverage is represented by Monster Hunter Outlanders on iOS and Android in the worldwide list.

Are these dates the same in North America and Europe?
Not necessarily. The schedule is a Japan release calendar, and worldwide listings can use a different local date or storefront rollout. Check the publisher’s regional store page before preloading or arranging an import.
Is Phantom Blade Zero available on Xbox?
The Japanese listing identifies PlayStation 5 and PC for the October 29 launch. It does not list an Xbox Series version, so an Xbox release should not be assumed from the multi-platform week.

Does a Switch 2 package always include a physical game card?
No. A package listing can represent a region-specific retail product, while another market may receive a digital entitlement or a different card format. Confirm the box description and the Nintendo account region before purchase.
Which week release is available on mobile?
Monster Hunter Outlanders is listed for iOS and Android as part of the worldwide launches. The calendar does not provide a Japan-specific mobile release hour, so availability may appear at different times in each app store.
