Centre a single slice in its slot so the heating elements address both sides of the bread as evenly as the appliance allows.
If your normal bread is standard square sandwich bread, the extra length is unused capacity rather than a performance upgrade. You are paying for the flexibility to handle bakery slices and for a layout that can process four regular slices together.
How many slices can it toast in one cycle?
Use the toaster in one of two ways:
- Four standard slices: load two ordinary slices into each extra-long slot, arranged so they sit centrally and do not overlap.

For a family using regular bread, four-slice capacity reduces the number of batches compared with a two-slice toaster. For a couple eating bakery bread, two long slices in one cycle is usually the more relevant benefit. Seven browning settings

Does it brown evenly?

Yes, the high-lift mechanism raises the carriage farther than its normal finishing position, making small items easier to grasp without placing fingers deep into a hot slot. It is particularly helpful for crumpets, English muffins and short slices that sit low after a cycle.
Lift the lever only after the heating cycle has ended or after pressing cancel and allowing the carriage to release. The feature improves access; it does not make it safe to handle food while the toaster is actively heating.
How easy is it to clean?
A removable crumb tray catches debris below the heating chambers. Remove it only when the toaster is unplugged and cool, empty the crumbs, and replace the tray before the next cycle. Regular emptying reduces loose debris on the bench and helps prevent burnt crumbs from affecting later toasting.
