- Pour carefully. Sunbeam warns that boiling water will scald. Hold the handle, keep the spout pointed away from people and avoid opening the lid while pouring.
The water window helps you judge the fill before switching on. Filling only what you need reduces unnecessary reheating, but the guide’s minimum and maximum marks remain the boundaries: operating below the minimum can trigger boil-dry protection, while exceeding the maximum can allow boiling water to escape through the spout or lid.

What safety features does the KEM5007SS have?
Sunbeam describes a three-part safety system in the user guide. It automatically switches off after boiling, protects against boil-dry operation and shuts down if overheating is detected.

Does the Sunbeam Arise have temperature control?

Do not estimate a lower temperature by switching the kettle off early unless you can measure the water safely and accurately. The product’s documented safety behaviour is based on a normal boil cycle, not on manual temperature targeting.

- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Keep the electrical base and connector away from water.
- Inspect the lid area and spout for mineral deposits, especially if your tap water is hard.
- Descale only with a method approved in the current Sunbeam instructions for your region. Rinse thoroughly afterward and discard the first boil if the instructions require it.
Scale can make a kettle take longer to reach a boil and can cause flakes in the water. It can also interfere with the lid or shutoff sensing. If the guide supplied with your unit specifies a filter or a descaling product, follow that edition rather than applying an unverified chemical mixture.
What warranty does Sunbeam provide?
