The SOUNDPEATS PearlClip Pro is an open-ear clip-on earbud for listeners who want to hear more of their surroundings than they would with sealed in-ear buds. That design can suit outdoor walks and runs, but it also means less isolation—and it does not guarantee the earbuds will stay secure during every activity. The main caution is its specifications: SOUNDPEATS’ regional pages disagree on Bluetooth and codec support, so check the listing for your exact market before buying.
What the PearlClip Pro is—and who it suits
Rather than sealing inside the ear canal, each PearlClip Pro hooks around the ear in an open-ear clip design. SOUNDPEATS says each earbud weighs 5.85 g and describes the design as “Pearl-Lightweight Open-ear Clip Design.” The open fit is intended for people who want to listen while remaining more aware of nearby sounds; RTINGS identifies runners and listeners who prioritize situational awareness as relevant users. Awareness is not a substitute for attention to traffic or other hazards.
Consider this style if conventional in-ear buds feel intrusive or you want to hear more of your environment during a walk. It is a less suitable choice if you need strong noise isolation, discreet sound containment, or a reliably sealed fit. Because the earbud does not seal the canal, external noise remains audible and audio may be more prone to leaking to people nearby, particularly at higher volume.

SOUNDPEATS’ global/UK product page lists 12 mm dual-magnet drivers and dynamic EQ, alongside Bluetooth 5.4 and AAC/SBC codec support. The European page also lists AAC/SBC. However, SOUNDPEATS India advertises Bluetooth 6.0 and LDAC for a product with the same Pearl Clip Pro name, while the company’s launch post specifies Bluetooth 5.4. The available sources do not establish whether the Indian page refers to a separate revision or contains inaccurate copy.

Do not treat the India listing’s LDAC claim as universal. Confirm the exact regional model and seller listing, and check that its codec claims match your source device. AAC/SBC are the listed codecs on the European and global/UK pages; support for LDAC is only claimed on the India page.
Fit and stability: check the activity, not just the design
A clip-style fit avoids inserting an earbud into the canal, but comfort and security still depend on ear shape and movement. RTINGS’ comparison snippet says the CMF Clip Pro is more comfortable and stable than the PearlClip Pro in its comparison context. That is a review finding, not a guarantee about every wearer or unit. If you plan to run, prioritize a return policy that lets you assess fit during your normal movement.

Battery life: the claims versus the review result
SOUNDPEATS claims up to six hours of playback from the earbuds and another 18 hours from the case, for 24 hours total. It also claims up to two hours of playback after a 10-minute charge. These are manufacturer figures, not independently verified endurance results in the available product evidence.

RTINGS notes that its PearlClip Pro review page was updated June 23, 2026, to Test Bench 2.3. Tested runtime and manufacturer estimates are not directly interchangeable: playback time can vary with volume, settings, and use. Treat the RTINGS result as that review’s test, not a guarantee for your pair.

Water resistance and charging
SOUNDPEATS lists an IPX5 rating and USB-C charging. IPX5 does not establish that the earbuds are suitable for submersion, so do not use the rating as a basis for swimming. The European product page lists a charging case and Type-C cable in the box.
How it compares with other clip-on options
Two adjacent models worth checking are EarFun Clip and SOUNDPEATS Clip1. Android Central’s coverage describes EarFun Clip with Bluetooth 6, LDAC, and IP55; TechRadar lists Clip1 with IPX5 and up to eight hours per earbud or 32 hours total. Those reported details can change with model revisions and regional listings, so verify the exact current model page rather than assuming those specifications apply to every unit.
Rank #4
- SOUNDPEATS PearlClip Pro & H3 Bluetooth Earbuds
When comparing clip-on earbuds, use the same criteria across models: fit and stability, comfort during extended wear, how much outside sound reaches you and how much audio leaks out, measured single-charge battery life under comparable conditions, total case runtime, water and dust ratings, codec compatibility, controls, and current regional price. A longer claimed total runtime does not by itself establish longer single-charge performance.
Should you buy the PearlClip Pro?
The PearlClip Pro makes most sense if an open clip-on fit and greater awareness of your surroundings matter more than isolation. Its lightweight design claim, USB-C charging, and listed IPX5 rating may fit everyday listening, but the fit is individual, the manufacturer’s battery claims differ from RTINGS’ tested single-charge result, and regional Bluetooth and codec specifications conflict. Before purchasing, confirm the exact listing’s specifications and make sure the open fit matches how and where you plan to listen.
