Yes—Sony LinkBuds Fit are a strong choice for runners, gym users and commuters who prioritize a secure, lightweight fit, useful noise-control modes and LDAC connectivity. Their Air Fitting Supporters stay put during demanding movement, while active noise canceling and Ambient Sound make them practical beyond the gym. The compromises are equally clear: the sound is deliberately bass-forward rather than neutral, ANC playback is rated for up to 5.5 hours per charge, and the IPX4 rating covers sweat and splashes—not swimming or submersion.
The Sony LinkBuds Fit WF-LS910N make the most sense when stability and flexibility matter more than maximum battery life or an audiophile-flat tuning.
What are Sony LinkBuds Fit, and who are they for?
LinkBuds Fit (model WF-LS910N) are closed, true-wireless in-ear earbuds designed around exercise-friendly retention. Sony’s Air Fitting Supporters provide the contact that keeps each bud seated without relying on a bulky ear hook. The design is small and light, and independent listening tests found it comfortable for extended wear as well as exercise.
They are aimed at people who move between noisy and quiet environments: runners who need a stable seal, gym users who want music with impact, and commuters who switch between blocking sound and hearing announcements. Bluetooth multipoint lets the earbuds remain connected to two devices, while support for SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3 gives compatible phones and computers several connection options.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
This is not a neutral-monitoring earbud or a swim-proof sports model. Its priorities are secure fit, energetic playback and adaptable noise control. If those priorities match your routine, LinkBuds Fit are easier to recommend than their compromises might suggest.
Do LinkBuds Fit stay in place while running?
For most ears, the Air Fitting Supporters provide the security Sony intends. What Hi-Fi reported that the earbuds stayed seated during runs and workouts, and SoundGuys described them as very small and comfortable. That combination is valuable because a stable fit preserves bass response and keeps you from repeatedly pushing the buds back into position.
Why the retention system works
The supporters add a second point of contact inside the outer ear instead of depending only on friction from the silicone tip. Because the earbuds themselves are compact, they do not protrude as much as many exercise-focused designs. That low-profile shape is helpful under a hat, helmet or hood and reduces the chance of catching the bud on clothing.

- Running: The independent run reports found no slipping, making the earbuds suitable for steady runs and interval sessions. Ear shape still matters, so test your fit before relying on them for a race.
- Gym training: The supporters are useful during lifting, circuits and other movements that involve head turns. A secure seal also keeps the bass from disappearing when the bud shifts slightly.
- Commuting and office use: The small housings and strong comfort score make them practical for several hours of wear, with Ambient Sound available when you need to hear people or traffic.
Fit is personal. The reports establish that the design held during the reviewers’ runs, not that every ear will have the same result. Wear both sides for a short walk, then a more vigorous session, before deciding whether the supplied tips and supporters suit you.
Are Sony LinkBuds Fit waterproof?
No. They carry an IPX4 water-resistance rating, which is intended for sweat and splashing. It does not certify protection against immersion, swimming, heavy water jets or being dropped into a sink.
Use them for normal workouts, but keep the charging case dry and let the earbuds dry before placing them inside it. Do not treat the rating as permission to shower with them or use them for water sports. If your training routinely involves rain, rinse spray or open-water sessions, a model with a higher ingress-protection rating is a better match.
How do LinkBuds Fit sound?
The tuning is energetic and bass-forward. SoundGuys measured the bass as elevated by a few decibels, while What Hi-Fi said the presentation gives workout playlists welcome impact but can become heavy in the low end. That character makes kick drums, electronic tracks and motivational playlists feel lively without requiring high volume.

For exercise playlists
LinkBuds Fit are at their most convincing with music that benefits from punch. The closed design and bass emphasis give a sense of weight during runs or strength sessions, and the secure fit helps maintain that response. You can reduce the emphasis with equalizer controls in Sony’s software if vocals or acoustic instruments sound too recessed.
For speech and acoustic music
Podcasts and spoken-word content remain usable, but listeners who prefer a restrained, studio-style balance may find the low end too prominent. The tuning is not described as harsh; it is simply voiced for excitement rather than strict neutrality. EQ adjustment is therefore a practical way to make the earbuds more versatile instead of treating the factory tuning as fixed.
LDAC and listening quality
LDAC is available for compatible phones and sources, allowing a higher-bitrate Bluetooth connection than SBC or AAC. The benefit depends on the source device, connection conditions and the music you play. LDAC does not change the physical tuning, so it will not remove the bass emphasis; it can provide a higher-quality wireless link when your equipment supports it.
How effective are the ANC and Ambient Sound modes?
LinkBuds Fit include active noise canceling, Sony’s Personal NC Optimizer, Ambient Sound mode and Auto Ambient Sound. What Hi-Fi found that the noise canceling did an admirable job of reducing outside sound, while Ambient Sound could adjust automatically to the surroundings.

ANC is useful on public transport, in a gym with constant machinery noise and at a desk near air conditioning. It reduces external sound so you can listen at a lower level, but the available evidence does not establish a laboratory noise-reduction figure or claim class-leading performance. Treat it as effective everyday isolation rather than a guarantee that every voice or sharp sound will disappear.
Ambient Sound and Auto Ambient Sound
Ambient Sound is the safer choice when you need awareness of traffic, announcements or a conversation. Auto Ambient Sound is designed to adapt that balance to changing conditions, so you do not have to switch modes every time you leave a quiet street and enter a busy station. For road running, keep enough outside sound enabled to remain aware of vehicles and other people.
Personal NC Optimizer
Personal NC Optimizer tailors noise canceling to the wearer. Run the optimization after the earbuds are seated correctly, and repeat it if your fit changes significantly. A poor seal cannot be fixed entirely by software, so the physical fit remains the first step.

How long does the battery last with ANC?
Sony rates continuous music playback at up to 5.5 hours with noise canceling on and up to 8 hours with noise canceling off. These are maximum music-playback figures, not a promise for every mix of volume, codec, calls and environmental features. Using LDAC, frequent mode changes or high volume can alter actual endurance.
Sony lists approximately two hours to charge the earbuds and approximately three hours to charge the case by USB. The published information does not state a separate call-time figure or a case-capacity total in hours, so do not convert the music estimate into an assumed workday or travel schedule without leaving charging margin.
Choosing a battery strategy
- Long training sessions: Turn ANC off when you do not need isolation to use the longer published playback figure.
- Transport and noisy gyms: Keep ANC on, but start with fully charged earbuds because the rated runtime is shorter.
- Mixed commuting: Use ANC for the loud portion of the trip and Ambient Sound when you need awareness, then return the buds to the case between journeys.
Because the figures are stated as “up to,” regard them as a ceiling under Sony’s test conditions rather than a guaranteed minimum.
What Bluetooth features and codecs do they support?
LinkBuds Fit use Bluetooth 5.3 and support multipoint connections. Multipoint is useful if you regularly move between a phone and a laptop: after the devices are paired, the earbuds can switch attention between them without repeating the full pairing process.
The supported codecs are SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3. Actual codec selection is negotiated by the source device and operating system; having LDAC listed does not mean every phone, computer or app will use it. If your source does not support a particular codec, playback falls back to one it does support.

How do you set up LinkBuds Fit for training?
A short setup routine prevents most fit, battery and awareness problems. Menu names can vary slightly by phone and Sound Connect version, but the relevant Sony features retain the labels below.
- Charge before the first session. Charge the earbuds and case by USB, then remove the buds and place them in your ears with the supporters seated securely.
- Pair from the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Select WF-LS910N when it appears, complete pairing, and play a familiar track to check that both channels work.
- Install Sony Sound Connect. Use the app to check firmware, select noise-control modes and access Sony’s customization options. SoundGuys tested with firmware 1.2.0 and Sound Connect version 11.0.2; your current versions may differ.
- Run Personal NC Optimizer. Do this while the earbuds are seated as you will wear them. Re-run it after changing tips or the way the supporters sit.
- Set awareness before moving. Choose ANC for predictable background noise, Ambient Sound for traffic and conversations, or Auto Ambient Sound when conditions change frequently.
- Configure multipoint if you use two devices. Pair the second phone or computer through the app or Bluetooth settings, then confirm that switching behaves as expected before leaving for a workout.
- Test movement and controls. Walk, jog and turn your head. If a bud loosens, reseat it and adjust the supporter before increasing speed or volume.
Keep the volume low enough to hear important environmental cues when running outdoors. ANC can reduce distractions, but it should not replace attention to traffic or other people.
How should you compare LinkBuds Fit with other workout earbuds?
Compare them on the four criteria that most affect daily use: movement stability, noise-control performance, sound balance and battery endurance. LinkBuds Fit score strongest on the first two practical requirements and on codec flexibility, while their bass emphasis and ANC runtime may not suit every listener.
| Decision factor | What LinkBuds Fit offer | What to check in an alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Stability during movement | Air Fitting Supporters; reviewers reported a secure fit during runs and workouts | Whether the retention system works with your ear shape and chosen activity |
| Noise control | ANC, Personal NC Optimizer, Ambient Sound and Auto Ambient Sound | Whether testing demonstrates useful isolation and a practical transparency mode |
| Sound balance | Energetic, bass-forward presentation with EQ available to moderate it | Whether the default tuning matches your music and how adjustable it is |
| Battery endurance | Up to 5.5 hours with ANC and up to 8 hours without ANC | Runtime with the features you actually use, not only an ANC-off maximum |
| Durability | IPX4 for sweat and splashes | A higher rating if you need immersion or severe-weather protection |
Do not choose solely by codec list or Bluetooth version. A codec advantage is useful only with a compatible source, and a stable fit often matters more to workout sound than a theoretical specification.
What did reviewers say, and how should you interpret the score?
SoundGuys gave LinkBuds Fit a 7.1/10 rating in its 2024 review. That review tested the earbuds for four days using firmware 1.2.0 and Sony Sound Connect version 11.0.2, so the score reflects that test period and configuration rather than a universal measurement.
What Hi-Fi’s assessment was especially positive for athletes, writing that the earbuds “make a great deal of sense” for aspiring athletes and experienced runners. Its comments support the fit and workout-use case, while the bass-heavy sound and finite ANC battery remain important qualifications. Taken together, the reviews point to a focused product: very good for movement and flexible daily listening, less ideal if your first priority is neutral sound or maximum endurance.
What did LinkBuds Fit cost, and are they good value?
SoundGuys recorded a $199.99 launch price in 2024. That is a historical launch figure, not a guaranteed current price. Retail pricing, availability, color selection and regional model listings can change, so verify the live listing for your country before purchasing.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
At a price near launch level, the value case depends on using the features that distinguish these earbuds: secure retention, ANC and Ambient Sound flexibility, multipoint and LDAC. If you will mostly listen in a quiet room, the extra cost of those features may matter less. If you run, commute and switch between devices, their combination is more compelling than a simple battery-per-dollar comparison.
What are the main strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths
- Air Fitting Supporters provide a secure, low-profile fit for running and gym sessions.
- Small housings and low per-earbud weight support long wear.
- ANC, Ambient Sound, Auto Ambient Sound and Personal NC Optimizer cover varied environments.
- Multipoint and four listed codecs, including LDAC and LC3, offer broad connectivity flexibility.
- Bass-forward tuning gives workout music noticeable impact, with EQ available for adjustment.
Weaknesses
- ANC playback is rated at up to 5.5 hours, shorter than the ANC-off figure.
- The default sound favors bass and punch over neutrality.
- IPX4 protects against sweat and splashes but not immersion.
- Fit and stability still depend on individual ear shape.
- The $199.99 figure is a launch price from 2024; current regional pricing must be checked separately.
Are Sony LinkBuds Fit worth buying?
Buy them if your routine includes running, gym workouts or commuting and you value earbuds that remain secure while offering both isolation and environmental awareness. The compact fit, effective everyday ANC and multipoint support make them unusually adaptable for a workout-focused model.
Look elsewhere if you need swim protection, a neutral out-of-the-box signature or a substantially longer ANC session. LinkBuds Fit are best understood as specialized all-rounders: they put stability and energetic listening first, then add the connectivity and noise-control features needed for daily use.

Are LinkBuds Fit suitable for phone calls?
Sony’s published material and the cited reviews specify music playback, noise control, fit and codec support, but do not provide a call-runtime figure or a detailed microphone assessment. Treat call performance as an open question to verify in a retailer’s return window rather than assuming the music specifications answer it.
Can I use LDAC with any phone?
No. LDAC playback requires a compatible source device and operating-system support; otherwise the connection negotiates SBC, AAC or another available codec. Check the phone’s Bluetooth audio options after pairing instead of assuming LDAC is active.
Do the earbuds include wireless charging for the case?
The cited Sony specification lists USB charging for the case and gives an approximately three-hour charging time, but it does not state wireless-charging support. Confirm the exact regional package and current specification before buying if wireless charging is essential.
How should I read the 7.1/10 review score?
It is SoundGuys’ 2024 score from a four-day test using firmware 1.2.0 and Sound Connect 11.0.2, not an industry-wide standard. Use the underlying findings—secure fit, bass-forward sound, ANC performance and battery limits—to decide whether the trade-offs match your use.

What should I verify when buying online?
Confirm that the listing identifies model WF-LS910N, then check your region, color, current price, stock status and return policy. The recorded $199.99 figure was a 2024 launch price, so it should not be treated as today’s guaranteed price.
