The Séance of Blake Manor walkthrough is easiest when you treat time as your main resource and the journal as your map. On Day One, inspect the hotel records, repair the telegraph with the correct disc sequence, compare the signatures on Evelyn Deane’s letter, and use Think to prove the letter was forged. From there, follow the journal’s evidence links, check guest schedules before entering rooms, and question the person attached to each clue. This guide explains how to investigate every room, lists all passwords and codes behind a spoiler warning, shows how to solve Blake Manor hypotheses, and maps the investigations and decisions that lead to the available endings.
Spoilers: This is a completion-focused guide covering the murder investigation, optional character mysteries, passwords, survival conditions, achievements, and endgame routes.
What should you know before entering Blake Manor?
The Séance of Blake Manor is a first-person supernatural detective adventure set in west Ireland in 1897. Detective Declan Ward arrives shortly before Halloween, two days before a séance, to investigate Evelyn Deane’s disappearance and identify the culprit before someone else vanishes. Irish mythology, Victorian spiritualism, interviews, environmental puzzles, and a strict schedule all feed into the same investigation.
The game does not reward searching every drawer immediately. Every examination, question, and interrogation can advance the clock, while guests move according to schedules. The safest approach is to work from the journal outward: read the active mind map, identify the missing evidence or person, check the timetable, investigate only the relevant room, and then return to the guest connected to the new clue.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Time is a resource: actions can consume minutes, and the day’s schedule determines who can be found.
- The journal is the case board: evidence nodes, people, objects, conversations, and mind maps show what is established and what still needs a connection.
- Detective mode is selective: it highlights interactable evidence, but unrelated scenery is usually a poor use of the clock.
- Optional mysteries have consequences: resolving personal cases before the Blake Residence sequence can change who survives the Grand Séance.
- The first hypothesis is evidence-based: the key conclusion is that Miss Deane’s departure letter is forged, not that Ward should guess who is responsible.
Raw Fury summarizes the pressure clearly: “each action and every lost minute counts the day down.” GamesRadar+’s Oscar Taylor-Kent gives the useful qualification that time passes “often minute by minute” when you actively choose to investigate something. Use the clock deliberately rather than treating the manor as a conventional collect-everything adventure.
How do the clock, timetable, and journal work?
Open the relevant journal page before moving. The mind map tells you whether the next requirement is an evidence node, a named witness, an object detail, or a hypothesis that can now be tested. The journal is not merely a recap; it is the investigation engine that prevents random wandering.
Use this investigation loop
- Read the active mind map. Note the missing node or the character named beside the clue.
- Check the timetable. Guests may be in the library, bar, dining areas, drawing-room talks, or their own rooms. Crossing the manor without checking can leave you waiting at an empty doorway.
- Choose the permitted entry window. Search a private room when its occupant is away, unless the story explicitly gives Ward permission to enter.
- Activate detective mode. Scan for marked objects and investigation points, then inspect each one that produces a magnifying-glass or analysis prompt.
- Examine sub-details. A document, symbol, safe, or object can contain several separate clues. Picking it up is not always the same as analyzing it.
- Ask the linked guest. The conversation suggested by the journal can be the missing evidence node even after you have searched the room.
- Use Think only when the map is ready. The available words represent unlocked evidence; forcing a theory before the required nodes appear will not solve it.
- Read the new journal entry immediately. A solved hypothesis normally points to the next useful person, room, or conversation.
- Make a manual save before major confrontations. If your platform permits manual saves, keep one before the final residence and ritual sequence.
Do not repeatedly search an apparently empty room. If every marked point has been analyzed and the journal names a witness, leave and pursue that conversation. Returning later can still be necessary when the schedule changes, but repeated drawer-by-drawer searches rarely create progress.

The opening case teaches the complete logic of Blake Manor: inspect a record, repair an environmental puzzle, analyze a document’s separate details, connect the evidence in the journal, and then continue through the correct exit and conversation.
1. Inspect the arrival records
After the opening sequence, approach the manor and observe the fountain area. Enter the hotel, ring for manager Vincent Varley, and sign the guest book. Enter analysis mode and inspect Evelyn Deane’s signature, the checked-out guest list, the neighboring signatures, and the marked “X” on the following page. These details establish that the apparent departure record needs investigation.
Each investigation action costs one minute. Ignore optional scenery during this first window until the journal’s opening case is complete.

2. Repair the telegraph
When Varley arrives, take the discs and go to the telegraph room. Remove the old battery, then insert the discs in this order:
- Copper
- Paper
- Zinc
Repeat the three-disc sequence six times to reach the required six volts. Return to Varley and discuss the journal clue “Telegraph. Repaired.”
3. Search the manager’s office
Wait until Varley leaves, then enter the manager’s office. Inspect the relevant room and desk evidence and examine the letter hidden beneath the office materials. Analysis mode marks three signature details. Inspect all of them rather than simply collecting the letter:
- the top swirl above the E in Evelyn;
- the lower portion of the y;
- the swirl or lower detail above the D in Deane, depending on the guide’s screen description.
4. Form the forged-letter hypothesis
Open the journal, choose Think, and select the following chain:
- Miss Deane’s departure
- letter
- forged
The conclusion is that Evelyn did not leave as the records claim. When the next conclusion prompt appears, choose “They can write.”

6. Complete the first-night dream
The dream introduces the game’s sigil-drawing puzzles. Follow the corridor and draw one unbroken line through each required point. Complete the final symbol when the monolith appears. This sequence is part of the supernatural progression, not an optional room search.
How should you investigate every room without losing the weekend?
Use a room only when it answers a journal question. The manor reshuffles by hour, so the timetable is effectively your route planner.
Before entering
- Check the current hour and the occupant’s schedule.
- Read the active journal page and identify the exact evidence target.
- Confirm whether the story permits entry or whether you need the occupant to leave.
- Decide whether the room is part of the central case, an optional character mystery, or achievement cleanup.
Inside the room
- Activate detective mode immediately.
- Inspect every marked object and every separate analysis point on a relevant object.
- Read documents closely; a single letter or diary can expose multiple nodes.
- Do not spend minutes on unmarked scenery unless the journal specifically directs you to it.
After leaving
- Open the journal and check which node was added.
- Follow the suggested witness, even if you believe the room already proved the answer.
- Use Think only after the necessary words are available.
- Read the resulting journal entry before choosing your next destination.
If a room appears to contain no progress, leave rather than repeating the same search. The missing step is often a scheduled conversation elsewhere. Locked areas should be approached through nearby clues first; use the code list below when you are prioritizing speed or achievement cleanup.

Completion route or speed route?
| Route | Time efficiency | Optional mysteries | Guest survival and endings | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Completion route | Slower; follows schedules and revisits rooms when needed | Solves as many personal cases as possible and attends scheduled talks | Maximizes access to survival, secret-ending, and achievement conditions | First full playthrough or achievement hunting |
| Speed route | Fast; follows only direct journal links | Skips unrelated objects and optional investigations | May miss optional survivors and ending requirements | Reaching the central conclusion quickly or replaying a known route |
Neither route changes the basic rule: the journal decides what is useful now. The completion route simply spends the available time on more character mysteries before the Blake Residence sequence.
What are all passwords and codes in The Séance of Blake Manor?
Spoiler warning: The following codes open safes, locked rooms, containers, and hidden entrances. They come from a user-authored Steam Community password guide; Steam later removed that guide from visibility. Use the list for cleanup or when you have already tried the nearby clue.

How do you solve Blake Manor hypotheses?
Hypotheses are journal deductions, not free-form guesses. A hypothesis becomes available when the relevant evidence nodes and conversations are connected.
- Open the mind map and identify the unresolved statement.
- Read the linked evidence descriptions, including every sub-detail you analyzed.
- Speak to the named witness if the map shows a person or conversation node still missing.
- Open Think and select only words that the journal has unlocked.
- Confirm the conclusion, then read the new journal page for the next lead.
The Miss Deane case demonstrates the process: the departure record, the letter, and the signature analysis unlock forged; the follow-up answer is “They can write.” Later cases use the same evidence-to-conversation-to-Think pattern even when the objects and witnesses change.
If Think does not offer the word you expect, do not keep selecting combinations at random. Recheck the journal for a missing signature detail, object examination, or witness conversation. The game is signaling that one node has not been established.
What investigations belong in a full-completion checklist?
The following index collects the major investigations and achievement-linked beats documented by the full-game timestamped playthrough. Use it as a checklist rather than as a substitute for evidence details that the video does not spell out.

The best-ending strategy is to complete personal mysteries before entering the Blake Residence and to preserve a save before the residence and ritual sequence. The personal investigations can affect who survives the Grand Séance; the final sigil is a separate endgame decision.

- Work through central and personal mysteries early. Do not leave every optional case for the final hours.
- Track schedules. A missed guest may be attending a talk, meal, service, or another scheduled event rather than being permanently unavailable.
- Prioritize the O’Finn and Evelyn Deane investigations. The completion sources specifically associate these with survival outcomes.
- Save before Blake Residence. Keep a separate manual save if the platform supports it.
- Enter the ritual sequence with the character outcomes you want. Solving mysteries and choosing the final sigil are separate decisions; one does not replace the other.
The exact end-state is therefore determined by more than the final sigil. A player who reaches the ritual quickly can still miss survival conditions that were established earlier through optional investigations.
Which achievements and failure states should you track?
The documented completion route distinguishes several outcome achievements. Track them separately instead of assuming that one ending unlocks every result:
- World’s Best Detective
- Secret ending
- God-Killer
- Come with Me If You Want to Live
- And Then a Hero Comes Along
- Open the Portal
- Close the Portal
- Reach a dead end
- Stop the ritual but fail to save Evelyn
The timestamped playthrough supplies approximate video locations for these sequences. For efficient cleanup, keep the code table available, maintain a pre-residence save, and use the journal’s checklist to identify which personal mysteries remain unresolved.
How we picked the walkthrough route
This route follows the game’s documented systems rather than an assumed fastest path: the clock and guest schedules determine when actions are possible; the journal and mind maps identify the next evidence node; the Day One case demonstrates the full deduction loop; the password list is separated as a spoiler reference; and the full-playthrough index supplies the mystery and ending checklist. Where the sources name an investigation but do not provide its dialogue or evidence location, this guide leaves that detail unstated instead of filling it in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Séance of Blake Manor timed in real time?
No. The pressure comes from in-game minutes consumed by active investigation choices, conversations, and interrogations. The timetable advances the story world, but it is not a real-world countdown running while you are away from the keyboard.
Do I need every password to finish the murder case?
No. The opening murder deduction is completed through the hotel records, telegraph repair, signature analysis, and the journal’s Think system. The passwords mainly provide access to optional rooms, safes, containers, and hidden entrances, making them most useful for exploration and achievement cleanup.
Can I unlock every ending from one save?
A save before Blake Residence can help with late ritual outcomes, but optional character mysteries may need to be completed earlier to change who survives. Plan on separate branches or replaying earlier sections if you are collecting every ending and survival achievement.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat should I do when a hypothesis will not appear?
Check the journal for an unconnected evidence node, then revisit the exact marked detail or speak with the named witness. A collected object may still contain several analysis points, and the missing conversation often matters as much as the room search.
