If Siri AI is missing after you install iOS 27, check your iPhone model, matching device and Siri languages, Apple Account region, and Apple Intelligence setup before considering a new phone. Apple describes the feature as a beta, and an eligible iPhone may also need to finish downloading its required assets.
Why is Siri AI missing after iOS 27?
Installing iOS 27 does not by itself establish that Siri AI is available on your iPhone. Apple’s stated requirements include eligible hardware, a supported language configured consistently for the device and Siri, and an eligible Apple Account region. The feature is also described as a beta, so its appearance is not guaranteed to be immediate on every eligible phone.
Work through those checks in order. A hardware upgrade can address an unsupported model, but it cannot fix a language mismatch, an ineligible account region, beta availability, or a download that is still underway.
Which iPhone models support Siri AI in iOS 27?
Apple’s iPhone guide lists iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models or later for the Siri AI beta on iOS 27 or later. Apple’s June 2026 announcement also identifies iPhone 16 models or later and the iPhone 15 Pro models as supported iPhones.

- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
| iPhone model | What the stated compatibility information says |
|---|---|
| iPhone 15 Pro | Listed as eligible for the Siri AI beta on iOS 27 or later. |
| iPhone 15 Pro Max | Listed as eligible for the Siri AI beta on iOS 27 or later. |
| iPhone 16 models or later | Listed as eligible; Apple’s June 2026 announcement also names these models. |
| Other iPhone models | Not listed in the cited compatibility information. Check Apple’s current requirements for the definitive, up-to-date list. |
Check the exact model name on your phone before drawing a conclusion from its purchase year or appearance. If your model is not on Apple’s current list, changing language settings or waiting for downloads will not make the hardware eligible. Because requirements can change, use Apple’s current requirements page rather than assuming this list covers future models or later software versions.
How do I check the language settings for Siri AI?
Apple says the iPhone’s device language and Siri language must be the same supported language. Verify both settings; changing only one does not meet the stated requirement.
- Open the iPhone’s Settings app and find the setting for the device’s language.
- Open the Siri settings and check the language assigned to Siri.
- Compare the two. They must match, and the language must be one Apple currently supports for Siri AI.
- If they differ, set them to the same supported language, then return to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri to check setup status.
Apple’s support requirements are the authority on which languages are supported; do not assume a language is eligible simply because it is available for the iPhone interface. Menu labels can vary with the installed iOS build, so if a label differs, look for the device-language and Siri-language controls in Settings.

Can my Apple Account region prevent Siri AI from appearing?
Yes. Apple’s requirements page says an eligible Apple Account region is required. Your physical location alone does not establish whether the account meets that requirement, so check the region Apple currently lists as eligible.
Do not change your account region as a casual troubleshooting step. The available Apple guidance establishes region eligibility as a requirement, but it does not establish changing regions as a supported way to bypass a restriction. If you are unsure which region applies to your account or what changing it would affect, consult Apple’s current support guidance before making account changes.
Where can I check whether Apple Intelligence is still downloading?
After confirming model, languages, and account-region eligibility, open Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. Apple’s iOS 27 Beta 8 notes say download progress can be checked there and warn that a feature may not function correctly before its assets are available.

- Dynamic Island. A magical way to interact with iPhone. A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU
- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range

- Up to 26 hours video playback. USB C, Supports USB 2. Face ID
Look for a download indicator or setup status on that screen. If progress is shown, allow setup to complete before treating the missing experience as a separate failure. The path and beta-note detail are tied to Apple’s beta software documentation; labels and behavior may change in a later build, so follow the status shown on your installed version.
What if I updated to iOS 27 but still have the old Siri?
Seeing the previous Siri experience does not, by itself, identify the cause. Use this decision path rather than assuming the update failed:
- Your model is not listed: The stated compatibility requirements point to a hardware limitation. Check Apple’s latest list to confirm before deciding what to do next.
- Your model is listed, but the languages differ: Set the device language and Siri language to the same supported language.
- Your model and languages qualify, but the account region may not: Verify the Apple Account region against Apple’s current eligibility information.
- The preceding checks appear satisfied: Check the Apple Intelligence setup and download status in Settings.
- Everything appears satisfied and Siri AI is still absent: Contact Apple Support. The official information cited here does not establish one guaranteed fix or a guaranteed wait time for every eligible-device issue.
This order separates requirements that have different remedies. In particular, a newer phone only addresses model eligibility; it does not resolve the other checks for a phone that already qualifies.

Why don’t I see Siri AI in Settings?
A missing control is not enough to diagnose the problem. First establish whether your exact iPhone model and Apple Account region are eligible, and whether the device and Siri languages match a supported language. Then check Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri for setup or asset-download status; Apple’s beta notes say features may not work correctly until their assets are available.
If all of those conditions appear to be met, Apple Support is the appropriate next step. Apple has not established a single universal fix or a specific time by which the feature must appear on every eligible phone.

Should I buy a new iPhone to get Siri AI?
Not until you confirm your existing iPhone’s exact model and check the other eligibility conditions. If it is one of the supported models, a purchase would not address a mismatched language, an ineligible account region, beta availability, or pending assets. If it is not listed by Apple, a compatible model is required for the stated feature; verify the current requirements before making a purchase decision.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Siri AI if my iPhone is eligible but my Apple Account is set to another country?
Apple’s requirements make the Apple Account region part of eligibility, so the phone’s model and your physical location do not settle the question alone. Check Apple’s current region requirements or ask Apple Support about your account before changing its region.
Does installing an iOS 27 update guarantee Siri AI will appear right away?
No. Apple describes Siri AI as a beta, and its iOS 27 Beta 8 notes say assets may still need to download before a feature works correctly. Apple does not establish a universal wait time for access.
Who should I contact if my eligible iPhone still does not show Siri AI?
Contact Apple Support if your model, language pair, account region, and setup status all appear to meet Apple’s requirements. The official information does not identify one fix that applies to every remaining case.
