The official calculator is the best current reference, because older third-party tables show different prices and number configurations. The calculator accessed October 21, 2026, shows 500 credits at $39 per month when a local number is selected. SimpleTexting’s pricing information also lists a $10 monthly local-number charge and a one-time $4 carrier-registration fee, so confirm whether the calculator’s displayed figure already includes the number charge before paying.

A local number adds $10 per month, while a toll-free number does not add that local-number charge. Carrier registration for a local number is a one-time $4 fee. Additional users cost $20 per month each after the three included seats, and each additional number costs $10 per month. A dedicated short code starts at $1,000 per month and generally takes six to eight weeks to provision.
For perspective, an all-one-credit workload on the 500-credit tier allows 500 outbound SMS messages. Messages that use two or three credits reduce that count quickly, so the credit total is a more useful budgeting unit than a raw recipient count. Why do older pricing tables show $29 or $49?
Some directories publish older or differently configured prices, including $29 for 500 credits and $49 for 1,000 credits. Treat the official calculator as the authority for a purchase made in 2026 and record the number type and date when comparing quotes.

Credits are consumed by message type and length rather than by recipient alone. The rules published by SimpleTexting are:

On a monthly plan, unused credits roll over through the end of the following month. They do not remain available indefinitely. If your business has seasonal demand, use the rollover window to schedule a larger campaign, then reassess the tier before credits expire.

- List expected recipients for each campaign and multiply by the number of sends.

Toll-free number
