The most useful Hush settings in VALORANT are the ones that let you aim and steer abilities without fighting your controls: choose reachable keybinds, keep a clearly visible crosshair, and tune sensitivity around both gunfights and utility. For headphones, compare Stereo with VALORANT’s HRTF against Auto-Detect with your operating system’s spatial audio. Riot has not published a Hush-specific DPI, sensitivity, crosshair code, volume level, or required hardware setup, so any specific personal configuration should be treated as a starting point—not an official preset.
At a glance
| Name | Best for | Key spec | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stereo + VALORANT HRTF | Headphone users who want to compare Riot’s in-game spatialization | Speaker configuration defaults to Stereo; HRTF can be toggled in the game | Nov 2026 |
| Auto-Detect + system spatial audio | Headphone users who already use a compatible operating-system spatial-audio setup | Riot says Auto-Detect turns the game’s own HRTF off when system spatial processing is enabled | Nov 2026 |
Use this as a comparison rather than a ranking. Riot does not identify one path as universally superior, and your result can change with your headphones, operating system and listening preferences.
Which Hush is this guide about?
This guide is about Hush, the VALORANT agent, not a competitive player who uses the same name. Riot identifies Hush as a Duelist and says she joined the game in patch 13.09 on October 27, 2026. The settings below are ways to configure your own controls and audio for her kit; they are not a copied player profile or a Riot-issued Hush preset.
Riot’s patch notes describe abilities that reward control over aim direction and repeated activation. Displacement and Flashbulb can be redirected toward the crosshair after they are prepared or thrown; Suspension is steered by the crosshair. That makes a visible crosshair and comfortable access to the abilities sensible priorities, without establishing a universally correct color, sensitivity, or key layout.

What should Hush’s keybinds do?
Use binds that let you deploy and redirect utility while still moving and aiming comfortably. The important decision is not whether an ability sits on a particular letter; it is whether you can manage the activation, steering, and reactivation sequence without losing control of your aim.
Set an agent-specific profile
VALORANT supports per-agent keybind profiles. To configure Hush separately, open Settings > Controls > Actions, select the relevant agent profile, and assign the ability actions to keys that feel reachable for you. This lets you adjust Hush without replacing the layout you use for other agents.
Do not assume the familiar C, Q, E, and X labels are your current ability binds: they are only common examples, and existing profiles or changes may use different keys. Check the bindings shown in your own settings and the ability-description tooltips. Riot’s patch 13.09 notes say those tooltips include keybind information.

- Displacement: Make the relevant actions easy to reach in sequence. Riot describes preparing or throwing it, then redirecting it toward the crosshair when it is reactivated.
- Flashbulb: Favor a bind that you can use while maintaining your direction and aim. Its path can be redirected toward the crosshair after preparation and release.
- Suspension: Choose a bind that is comfortable to combine with crosshair steering. Riot says it travels forward under crosshair guidance and can be detonated by reactivation or another press of fire.
- Flow: Keep its action readily accessible when you need to move toward an anchor. Riot describes it as creating an anchor instantly, with an airborne use that can briefly levitate Hush before propelling her toward that anchor.
Before taking the layout into a match, check for conflicts with movement, firing, or other actions you rely on. A bind that is theoretically fast but awkward for your hand is not an improvement. Use a low-pressure practice setting to confirm each key’s action and whether you can complete the relevant sequence while continuing to aim.
Signs that a bind needs changing
If you repeatedly stop moving while trying to reactivate an ability, release the mouse to reach a key, or press the wrong action under pressure, the problem is probably accessibility rather than speed. Move one ability at a time and retest it. Also check secondary-fire and reactivation assignments: a comfortable equip key does not help if the follow-up input is difficult to reach. Keep a short note of the old and new layout so you can reverse a change that causes confusion.
A gaming keyboard or mouse with programmable controls is optional, not a Hush requirement. Extra buttons can help some players, but they also create more opportunities for accidental presses. Use only controls you can identify consistently, and verify that any device software has not changed the key signal sent to VALORANT.
What crosshair works best for Hush?
Start with a crosshair you can see clearly against the maps you play, while keeping it uncluttered enough to place aim precisely. Because Hush redirects some utility toward the crosshair and steers Suspension with it, the same reticle has to remain legible for both gunfights and ability use.

Choose visibility, not a supposed Hush code
Adjust color, outline, center dot, and line dimensions according to what you can distinguish on screen. Riot’s cited Hush and crosshair information does not specify a recommended color, outline, dot, or dimension, nor does it provide a Hush-only import code. A code found elsewhere may be someone’s personal preference; it should not be represented as official or optimal for the agent.
If you already have a reticle that is clear at common engagement distances, there is no need to replace it merely because you are playing Hush. If it is hard to see over parts of the environment or obscures your target, change one visual property at a time and check whether the result remains easy to read during both aiming and utility steering.

Import or export a profile
- Open Settings > Crosshair.
- To import a profile, use the down-arrow import control beside Crosshair Profile, paste the crosshair code, and preview the result before using it.
- To export a profile you want to save or share, use the up-arrow export control.
Preview first rather than assuming an imported profile will be visible on every map or suit your preference. A code changes the crosshair profile; it does not make the reticle an agent-specific Riot recommendation.
Test the reticle while steering
Do not judge a crosshair only while standing still with a rifle. In practice, place it at head height, then activate Displacement or Flashbulb and redirect the ability to a marked point. Repeat while moving and while looking at bright and dark surfaces. For Suspension, watch whether the reticle remains easy to locate during the forward travel and reactivation. If the lines disappear into the environment or become distracting during a turn, revise one setting and repeat the test.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →What sensitivity and DPI should you use with Hush?
There is no Riot-published Hush sensitivity or DPI target in the cited material. Keep a familiar, controllable baseline and adjust it only when a repeatable problem—such as overshooting a correction or being unable to make a comfortable turn—shows up while both aiming and using her steerable abilities.
Use a repeatable practice sequence
- Hold an angle and place your aim at a consistent head-height point.
- Use Displacement and redirect it toward a deliberate target with the crosshair.
- Repeat with Flashbulb, then steer Suspension toward a chosen direction.
- Use Flow in a movement scenario, then return to a precise aim position.
- Notice whether you repeatedly overshoot, undershoot, or struggle to turn comfortably. If so, make a small sensitivity adjustment and repeat the sequence before changing it again.
This is a practical tuning routine, not a reported experiment or a statistically validated Hush setting. The point is to check whether your mouse control still feels predictable when you switch between holding an angle and directing utility. Avoid changing several variables at once, because that makes it harder to identify which adjustment helped.
How DPI and in-game sensitivity relate
DPI is a mouse setting; in-game sensitivity is a VALORANT setting. If you compare eDPI, calculate it transparently as mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity. That figure can help describe a setup, but it does not by itself establish whether someone can aim or steer comfortably, and Riot’s Hush materials do not endorse a particular eDPI range. If your mouse software allows DPI changes, keep the value consistent while you assess in-game sensitivity, or record both values so you know what changed.
An adjustable-DPI mouse can make controlled testing easier because you can hold one hardware value steady while changing only the in-game slider. A large mousepad is useful only if your chosen sensitivity requires more physical travel and your desk allows it. Neither accessory changes Hush’s abilities, and neither is required.

Separate aim errors from bind errors
When a utility throw misses, first determine whether the crosshair was in the wrong place, the ability was redirected at the wrong moment, or the mouse movement itself overshot. Lowering sensitivity will not fix an activation timing mistake, and moving a key will not fix a reticle that is difficult to see. Isolating one cause at a time prevents a cycle of constant setting changes.
Which audio settings should you use to hear and react to Hush’s abilities?
For headphones, compare VALORANT’s Stereo plus in-game HRTF with Auto-Detect plus operating-system spatial audio. These are two configuration paths, not a guaranteed ranking: Riot does not say that one produces a universal competitive advantage or publish a Hush-specific audio mix or volume percentage.
Path one: Stereo and in-game HRTF
VALORANT’s speaker configuration defaults to Stereo. With headphones, try the game’s HRTF on and off in a low-pressure setting and judge directional clarity and listening comfort. Riot’s earlier HRTF guidance cautioned against running other 3D processing at the same time as its own HRTF, so avoid stacking another spatialization effect over the game’s mode when following that setup.

Path two: Auto-Detect and system spatial audio
If you use a properly configured third-party spatial-audio feature in your operating system, Riot’s documented alternative is to set the game’s speaker configuration to Auto-Detect and enable that system processing. Riot says that with this combination, VALORANT turns its own HRTF off. Confirm that your operating system’s spatial feature is actually enabled; selecting Auto-Detect alone is not the same as turning on a separate system effect.
Compare the two paths fairly
| Comparison point | Stereo + HRTF | Auto-Detect + system spatial |
|---|---|---|
| Where processing occurs | VALORANT’s HRTF | Your operating system or compatible third-party spatial feature |
| Game setting | Stereo | Auto-Detect |
| Extra setup | Keep other 3D processing off when following Riot’s HRTF guidance | Enable and verify system spatial processing |
| What to judge | Directional clarity and comfort | Directional clarity, comfort and configuration simplicity |
Use the same headphones, game volume and test location when switching. Give yourself time to adjust rather than deciding after one round. Riot Audio Director Peter Zinda said that adjusting to HRTF takes time and practice, and Riot has not identified a universal winner.
Headphones, speakers, and mono
Riot describes HRTF and spatial audio as headphone-oriented rather than speaker-oriented. Mono can be an accessibility choice, but it cannot use the left-right differences on which these spatialization options depend. Comfort and perceived localization vary between listeners, so choose a configuration you can hear comfortably rather than assuming a particular mode must work best for everyone.
Riot’s position is explicit: “We don’t think any particular HRTF solution gives a competitive advantage beyond your personal preference.” — Riot Games, VALORANT patch 8.0. These statements concern spatial audio generally; they do not promise that a mode will make Hush’s abilities easier for every player to locate.
Do not mistake louder for clearer
The cited Riot material does not prescribe an exact master-volume percentage or a special sound level for Hush. Set a comfortable listening level, then compare directional clarity without increasing volume simply to make every sound louder. A stereo gaming headset can provide the headphone connection needed for these tests, but no headset model is endorsed or required by Riot.
Troubleshoot double processing
If sound seems unusually wide, hollow or hard to place, check whether both VALORANT HRTF and an operating-system spatial mode are active. Use one documented path at a time: Stereo with the game’s HRTF, or Auto-Detect with system spatial audio. Also confirm that the correct playback device is selected and that a device profile has not silently changed to mono or another processing mode.
How do Hush’s abilities affect the settings you choose?
Her mechanics explain why control consistency matters more than copying a generic preset. They also show what to practice: not just equipping an ability, but directing it and completing its activation sequence.
Telekinesis
Riot describes Telekinesis as allowing increased-range pickup of weapons and the Spike, as well as interaction with switches. The launch description does not turn that behavior into a keybind, crosshair, or sensitivity prescription. Make sure the interaction key is comfortable if you expect to use those pickups while moving through a fight.
Displacement
Displacement can be thrown or prepared with alternate fire, then redirected toward the crosshair when reactivated. On detonation it pulls players inward and can concuss players who collide with a surface or another player. Riot says Displacement resets every two kills; that is an ability mechanic, not evidence for a particular setting or performance rate. Practice both the initial placement and the later redirection, since they are separate control moments.

Flashbulb
Flashbulb can be prepared, thrown, and redirected toward the crosshair. It flashes players who are looking at it. That crosshair-directed path is why a reticle that remains visible while you aim is useful, but Riot does not prescribe a unique reticle design for it.
Flow and Suspension
Flow creates an anchor instantly. When used in the air, it can briefly levitate Hush before propelling her toward that anchor. Suspension travels forward under crosshair steering and can be detonated by reactivation or another press of fire. Practicing these actions alongside ordinary aim helps reveal whether your chosen binds and sensitivity feel manageable across different kinds of control.
A short practice circuit
- Start at a fixed angle and confirm your crosshair is visible.
- Place Displacement, redirect it, and consciously identify the reactivation input.
- Throw and redirect Flashbulb without releasing your movement control.
- Steer Suspension, then detonate it with the documented reactivation input.
- Use Flow from the ground and in the air, then reacquire a head-height target.
- Repeat the circuit after any keybind, DPI or audio change.
The circuit is designed to expose control friction. It is not a benchmark and does not predict match performance.

Patch 13.09 is dated October 27, 2026, and Riot’s descriptions here reflect that launch-era information. Ability descriptions and menu labels can change in later patches, so check the current in-game tooltip and settings if your client presents different behavior. The Hush agent page and current patch notes take priority over older pages that still describe her as unreleased.
A maintenance checklist after patches
After a VALORANT update, open Hush’s ability descriptions and confirm the displayed keybinds. Recheck Displacement’s reset wording, the activation and reactivation prompts, and Suspension’s detonation input. Then verify that your crosshair profile is still selected and that your audio device remains on the intended Stereo or Auto-Detect path. If a setting has moved, change one item at a time and run the practice circuit again.
Keep a backup of a crosshair profile with the export control, and write down your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity before experimenting. That makes it easier to return to a known baseline without treating any personal configuration as an official standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Displacement reset after two kills by Hush, or two kills by the team?
Riot’s patch 13.09 description says Displacement resets every two kills, but the cited wording does not clarify whether that count is personal or team-wide. Check the current in-game ability description if that distinction matters to your timing.

Will a Hush crosshair code change my ability behavior?
No: importing a code changes the crosshair profile, while ability behavior is defined by the game. A different reticle may change how clearly you can see or steer toward your aim point, but it does not alter what an ability does.
Are C, Q, E and X the required Hush ability keys?
No. Those letters are common examples only. Use Settings > Controls > Actions and the keybind information in your own ability tooltips to confirm the active profile.
Should I use VALORANT HRTF and operating-system spatial audio together?
Riot documents them as alternative paths. Use Stereo with the game’s HRTF, or set the game to Auto-Detect and enable system spatial processing. Avoid stacking another 3D effect over the game’s HRTF.
Is there a best Hush DPI or eDPI range?
No Riot-endorsed value is established. Keep a controllable baseline, define eDPI as mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity, and adjust gradually after testing aim and crosshair-steered utility.
Do I need a special headset, mouse or keyboard for Hush?
No. Headphones can let you compare the documented spatial-audio paths, and adjustable controls may improve comfort, but Riot does not require or endorse a particular product.
Why does my ability feel inaccurate after changing sensitivity?
Sensitivity may be affecting your turn or correction, but the issue could also be crosshair visibility or activation timing. Change one variable at a time, repeat the practice circuit and record the result before making another adjustment.
Where can I verify Hush’s current keybinds after a patch?
Open Settings > Controls > Actions and read the current Hush profile, then check the keybind information in the ability-description tooltips. Use the current client wording if it differs from launch-era descriptions.
The Bottom Line
Use an agent-specific Hush profile with reachable activation and reactivation inputs, a reticle you can see while steering utility, and a sensitivity that remains controlled through both aim and movement. For headphones, compare Stereo plus VALORANT HRTF with Auto-Detect plus correctly enabled system spatial audio; neither is a universal winner. Riot’s patch 13.09 launch information does not establish a magic DPI, crosshair code, volume percentage or required device.
