Do not assume the listed dimensions are the full installation envelope. Measure the doorway, route into the kitchen and final opening, then consult Samsung’s manual for hinge, door-swing, ventilation and cabinet-clearance requirements before delivery. Leave room for doors to open far enough for drawers and shelves to be removed; an appliance that physically fits into an alcove may still be impractical to use if a wall or cabinet blocks the door.

How much energy does it use?
CHOICE lists claimed energy use of 456 kWh per year and a four-star energy rating, with a 2024 test year. These are published figures, not a promise that a particular household’s electricity use will match them: actual consumption depends on conditions such as settings, room temperature, use and the appliance’s condition.
To translate the annual claim into a rough bill estimate, multiply 456 by your electricity price per kWh. For example, at A$0.30/kWh, the arithmetic is A$136.80 per year. That is an illustration using an assumed rate, not a quoted tariff or a measured bill for this refrigerator. Use your own bill’s rate, and remember that any estimate based on a published annual claim is not a substitute for metering the specific unit.
For a shortlist, compare the SRS693NLS with alternatives using the same local electricity rate and the claimed annual consumption shown for each model. Also compare capacity and layout: an energy figure by itself does not tell you whether a refrigerator is the right size for your household.
