How much usable capacity does the SRL459MB have?

How efficient is the SRL459MB?
The refrigerator carries a four-star energy rating. CHOICE records claimed energy use of 330kWh per year, with the figure associated with its 2021 listing. Treat that as a declared or label value under test conditions, not a guarantee of a particular household’s electricity bill.

Your annual cost depends on the electricity tariff and operating conditions. A simple estimate is 330 multiplied by your tariff per kilowatt-hour. For example, at a tariff of $0.30 per kWh, the claimed consumption would equate to about $99 per year; your bill can be higher or lower if the kitchen is hot, the door is opened frequently, the condenser is dirty or the door seal leaks. The 2021 CHOICE page also recorded a $1,449 price at the time, but that is historical and not a current market value.
When comparing a replacement, put the annual kWh and star rating beside the net refrigerator and freezer volumes. A larger headline capacity can still cost less to run if its tested kWh is lower, while a small difference in stars may be outweighed by how much usable freezer space you receive.

CHOICE identifies the model as discontinued and records a four-star rating and 330kWh/year claimed use. One owner reports weak shelves, seals failing in less than two years and a frequent high-pitched noise. Another praises the value but says the freezer is somewhat small.
