Verdict: The Samsung SRF7500BB is a 648-litre French-door refrigerator for households that want unusually large storage, an internal beverage station and two kinds of ice. It is a good fit only if you can provide a mains-water connection and roughly 1,012 mm of wall width for the doors to open 90 degrees. Its 3.5-star rating and claimed 522 kWh annual consumption are reasonable for a refrigerator this large, but the purchase case is weaker if you need an external dispenser, cannot plumb the appliance, or require publicly available independent noise and temperature scores.

The SRF7500BB is Samsung’s 648-litre Beverage Showcase French Door refrigerator, finished in black/black stainless steel. The flat-door exterior has recessed handles and keeps the front visually clean, while water and ice functions sit inside the door. Opening the refrigerator to fill a glass is the trade-off for that appearance.

How large is the SRF7500BB, and will it fit?
The cabinet measures 912 mm wide × 1,779 mm high × 723 mm deep, according to Samsung’s 2026 product guide. The cabinet dimensions alone are not enough for a safe installation: a retailer installation note says the doors need an additional 50 mm of clearance on each side to open to 90 degrees.

Measure the delivery route, not just the cavity
Before ordering, measure the front door, security door, hallway turns, lift or stair landing and the final kitchen opening. Measure at the narrowest point with doors and trim in their normal positions. A 912 mm cabinet can fail at a smaller doorway even when the kitchen cavity is wide enough. Ask the retailer or installer how the unit will be moved and whether any door removal is permitted for this model; the supplied specifications do not confirm a door-removal procedure.
Allow operating space around both doors
The stated 50 mm per side is the published allowance for opening to 90 degrees. More space may be needed if a wall, tall pantry or island obstructs the handles or if you want the crisper drawers to pull out fully. Tape the cabinet outline and door swing on the floor before delivery to expose conflicts with an island, table or walkway.

Yes. The dispenser and ice makers require a mains-water connection. It is not a model you can operate as a completely unplumbed refrigerator with a manually filled reservoir. Have a licensed installer confirm that a suitable cold-water point, shut-off valve and hose route are available before purchase.
What the water connection supplies
- The internal water dispenser in the Beverage Centre.
- The autofill infuser jug, which is filled by the refrigerator’s water system.
- The dual automatic ice maker.
Plan for access to the isolation valve so the water can be turned off during service or a leak. Keep the connection reachable without moving a 131 kg appliance. Installation, hose and plumbing charges are separate questions from the refrigerator’s advertised price, so obtain a written quote for your kitchen.

How does the Beverage Centre work?
The Beverage Centre combines a plumbed water dispenser with an autofill infuser jug behind the refrigerator door. You open the door to dispense water or retrieve the jug, rather than using a paddle or nozzle mounted on the exterior.
This arrangement keeps the front uncluttered and avoids an external dispenser protruding into a walkway. It also means that filling a glass requires an extra door-opening step and can expose the refrigerator compartment to warm room air. Households that frequently fill bottles or glasses may prefer an external dispenser on another model; households prioritising a flat front may consider the internal location worthwhile.

The feature is an internal beverage station, not a separate temperature-controlled wine cabinet or a second refrigerator. Samsung’s published material identifies the dispenser and infuser jug, but does not provide a separate beverage-compartment capacity or an independent temperature range.
How much ice does it make, and what types are available?
The Dual Auto Ice Maker produces regular cubes and smaller “Ice Bites,” which Samsung describes as chunks that chill drinks faster. Samsung’s 2026 product guide rates production at 2.6 kg of ice per day and storage at 3.1 kg.

Those figures describe rated production and bin capacity, not a guarantee that the refrigerator will make 2.6 kg every day in every kitchen. Water temperature, ambient conditions, door opening and an already full bin affect output. The two formats are useful for entertaining, but they also consume freezer space that would otherwise hold food.

How much food can the SRF7500BB hold?
The headline 648-litre total is split 389 litres for refrigeration and 259 litres for freezing. The larger refrigerator section suits fresh-food shopping and wide platters, while the freezer allocation is substantial but not equivalent to the space of a dedicated upright freezer.

Capacity figures should be compared on a like-for-like basis. Some manufacturers publish gross volume and others publish net or usable volume. Samsung’s sheet labels the figures as refrigerator and freezer capacities, so inspect the shelf, drawer and door-bin layout in person if you regularly store tall bottles, large trays or frozen boxes. The dual ice maker occupies part of the freezer area.
What other features are included?
Samsung lists All-around Cooling, humidity control, a deodoriser, a door alarm, vacation mode, auto-close doors, an anti-fingerprint finish and a Digital Inverter Compressor. All-around Cooling is intended to distribute cooled air through the compartments; the published material does not provide independent temperature-uniformity results.
Door alarm and vacation mode
A door alarm can warn when a door remains open, which is useful with children or frequent loading. Vacation mode is intended for periods when you are away, but check the manual for the exact compartments and controls affected before activating it. Auto-close hinges can help prevent a door being left ajar, yet they do not replace checking that drawers and bins are fully seated.
Digital Inverter Compressor
The compressor is covered by a documented ten-year term, but that is a component-limited warranty rather than a ten-year warranty for the entire refrigerator. The appliance warranty itself is two years.

How efficient is the SRF7500BB?
CHOICE’s 2025 listing gives the SRF7500BB a 3.5-star energy rating and claimed consumption of 522 kWh per year. That is a laboratory or standardised claim for the listed model, not a promise of your household’s meter reading. Actual use changes with room temperature, door openings, food load, temperature settings and ice production.
To estimate electricity cost, multiply 522 kWh by your retailer’s electricity rate in dollars per kilowatt-hour. For example, at a tariff of $0.30 per kWh, the arithmetic would be 522 × $0.30; your bill may differ because tariffs, daily supply charges and usage conditions vary. Compare the kWh figure with other large French-door models rather than comparing star ratings alone.
How much does it cost in Australia?
CHOICE listed the model at A$3,799 in its 2025 entry. A JB Hi-Fi page crawled for this review showed A$3,999 and marked the refrigerator unavailable. These are time-sensitive listings, not a guaranteed current price or indication that stock is available in every state.
Ask the retailer to confirm the delivered price, installation, plumbing, removal of the old refrigerator and any regional delivery surcharge. Check the return policy before delivery because a refrigerator that cannot pass the route or connect to water may be difficult to send back.
What warranty does Samsung provide?
The documented coverage is two years for the appliance and ten years for the Digital Inverter Compressor. The longer compressor period does not mean every part, labour charge or service visit is covered for ten years. Read the Australian warranty terms for exclusions, labour coverage and the process for making a claim, and keep the invoice and model/serial information.
