The different AC and battery ratings mean you should not assume the speaker has the same rated output when unplugged as when connected to power. Replaceability is a practical ownership advantage over a speaker whose battery is permanently sealed in. Samsung’s cited regional product pages say replacement batteries can be purchased through Samsung service channels. Inventory and service arrangements may vary by region, so check with Samsung support in your market before relying on a replacement being immediately available.
Is the MX-ST50F portable enough to move around?
The speaker weighs 18.4 kg and measures approximately 353 × 736 × 365 mm, according to the user guide. A built-in wheel and grip make it easier to roll than a speaker of similar size without transport features, but they do not make it lightweight or convenient to lift regularly.
Think of “portable” here as movable between rooms, a vehicle and a party space—not easy to carry for a long distance. Check the route to your intended setup location, including stairs, thresholds and storage space. Samsung notes that listed dimensions and weight are approximate and may change.
What can you connect to the MX-ST50F?
The speaker supports Bluetooth with SBC and AAC codecs, Bluetooth multi-connection, USB music playback and a 3.5 mm analog input. Samsung lists MP3, AAC, FLAC and WAV file support for playback. Samsung also describes wired and wireless group play and Auracast support on the cited regional pages. Those features can be useful if you intend to connect compatible speakers, but the available information does not establish that every feature is offered identically in every country or with every Samsung product. Can you use the MX-ST50F for karaoke?

Can you use the MX-ST50F outdoors?
The MX-ST50F has an IPX4 water-resistance rating, which indicates protection against splashing water. That is useful for some outdoor settings, but it does not mean the speaker is waterproof for immersion, and the cited Samsung material does not support using a high-pressure hose on it.
