Samsung Display introduced a new brand identity for its QD-OLED display technology on April 29, 2025. The logo is intended to help consumers recognize QD-OLED in products from manufacturers that use the panels; it is not the announcement of a new Samsung TV or monitor.
What is Samsung’s new QD-OLED logo?
The mark draws on the “Q” in QD-OLED. Samsung Display said its blue color represents blue OLED technology, while the gradient represents the technology’s wide color spectrum. The company said it planned to register the logo as a trademark; the announcement described a plan, not confirmation that registration was completed.
Samsung Display also said it planned to build awareness through cooperation with global clients, appearances at industry exhibitions, and product packaging. These are rollout plans stated in the April 2025 announcement, not evidence that every channel has since been used globally. Samsung Display’s announcement
What does the QD-OLED brand identity mean?
It gives display technology a recognizable visual identity that can appear across products made by different companies. Samsung Display described QD-OLED as combining OLED black expression with quantum dots’ optical characteristics to produce richer color reproduction and viewing without distortion from any angle. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independent test findings.

Samsung Display reported in 2025 that QD-OLED had been incorporated into more than 170 products since its late-2021 introduction. The company also reported more than 99% DCI-P3 coverage and 90% BT.2020 coverage. The announcement did not specify a measurement protocol for those color figures, so they should be read as Samsung Display’s claims rather than independently verified results.
Which TVs and monitors use QD-OLED?
QD-OLED appears in products from multiple brands; the logo identifies the panel technology, not a single product family. One specific example announced after the brand identity launch is Samsung Electronics’ Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF), announced June 25, 2025, with a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED panel. Samsung Display introduced QD-OLED Penta Tandem as a separate premium technology brand in a release dated February 12, 2026. It is based on a five-layer organic light-emitting structure. That later label is distinct from the general QD-OLED brand identity announced in April 2025. Samsung Display’s 2026 announcement
