The 2022 Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 is a notably light 2-in-1 with a vivid AMOLED touchscreen and an included S Pen. It handles everyday productivity well, but its 15.6-inch model’s Full HD resolution, limited ports, integrated graphics and workload-dependent battery life make it a more specific choice than its sleek design suggests.
What the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 is—and who it suits
Samsung announced the Galaxy Book2 Pro family in February 2022. The Pro 360 is a Windows convertible: its hinge folds the touchscreen around for tablet-style or tent-style use, and an S Pen is included. Its strongest case is portability paired with a colorful screen and pen input—not high-end gaming, a large port selection or easy internal upgrades.
It is a good fit if you want a lightweight laptop for browsing, office work, video and handwritten notes, and value AMOLED contrast and flexible viewing positions. Consider another model if you need built-in USB-A or HDMI, a sharper-than-Full-HD 15-inch display, strong gaming graphics or components you can readily upgrade.
Size, display and configuration choices
The Book2 Pro 360 came in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch versions. Samsung’s U.S. specification sheet lists both with a 16:9, 1920 × 1080 Super AMOLED touchscreen. That resolution is a clear trade-off on the larger model: reviewers praised the vivid contrast and color, but Tom’s Guide considered Full HD less sharp than ideal at 15 inches. Samsung lists 370 nits on its U.S. sheet; its separate launch materials describe HDR brightness up to 500 nits, a peak claim rather than the same brightness specification.

These figures are from Samsung’s official U.S. specifications; exact configurations varied by market and SKU. The 13.3-inch model is especially compelling if low carry weight matters most. The 15.6-inch version is still light for its screen size, but it is a larger device to hold when folded into tablet mode.
Samsung’s U.S. sheet names 12th-generation Intel Core i5-1240P and i7-1260P options, Windows 11 Pro SKUs, LPDDR5 memory and SSD configurations. Samsung’s launch materials list 8, 16 or 32 GB of memory and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB SSD options, with availability varying. These are not guarantees that every processor, memory size or drive was offered in every country or model. Confirm the exact SKU before buying.
Convertible design and S Pen
The 360-degree hinge makes the laptop adaptable for presenting, watching video or writing on the display. HotHardware’s review of a 15.6-inch model praised its thin, light construction and found the hinge useful for different viewing positions. The S Pen is included, so notes, sketches and document annotation do not require a separate stylus purchase.
Pen usefulness depends on how you plan to hold it. A 15.6-inch laptop folded into tablet mode provides a broad writing surface, but can be awkward to hold for extended periods. The Graphite finish on HotHardware’s test unit also showed fingerprint marks, a practical cosmetic drawback rather than a performance issue.

Everyday performance and gaming
The 12th-generation Core processors give the Book2 Pro 360 capable everyday performance for office applications, web browsing and multitasking. HotHardware tested a 15.6-inch Core i7-1260P configuration and found CPU improvements over the preceding generation. Tom’s Guide recorded a Geekbench 5.4 multi-core score of 9,043 and a 9-minute-34-second HandBrake time for converting 4K video to 1080p on its tested unit; these are publication-specific results, not a promise for every configuration or workload.
Graphics are integrated Intel Iris Xe, not a discrete gaming GPU. HotHardware found graphics performance broadly similar to earlier Iris Xe systems and said demanding games required reduced settings. Tom’s Guide’s tested system averaged 24 frames per second in its Civilization VI: Gathering Storm graphics benchmark. That makes casual or less demanding play more realistic than treating this laptop as a gaming machine.
Battery life: why the reported hours differ
Battery results depend heavily on what the laptop is doing and how it is tested. Samsung’s U.S. product sheet says, “Work up to 21 hours on a single charge,” but attributes that figure to an internal test on a prerelease device playing local video at default settings with Wi-Fi and mobile networks off. Samsung cautions that actual battery life varies with settings and use. It is not a general-use runtime guarantee.
| Source and year | Reported result | Test conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Electronics America, 2022 | Up to 21 hours | Internal prerelease local-video playback test; default settings; Wi-Fi and mobile network off |
| Tom’s Guide, 2022 | 11 hours 59 minutes | Web browsing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits |
| HotHardware, 2022 | A little over 7 hours | Custom 1080p video loop with Wi-Fi enabled and display calibrated around 115 lux |
The tests use different brightness measures and workloads, so the figures should not be read as competing results under identical conditions. For a day of mixed work, the two review tests offer more relevant context than Samsung’s local-video maximum, but your runtime will depend on the exact SKU, screen brightness, apps and connectivity.

Ports, storage and serviceability
The listed connections are one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C ports, a headphone/microphone jack and a microSD slot. There is no USB-A port listed, so legacy peripherals may require a compatible USB-C hub or dock. Samsung’s U.S. specification sheet also lists a 65W USB-C adapter.
HotHardware described the laptop as not readily user-serviceable. Because memory and storage choices can be difficult to change later, select enough capacity for your expected use when choosing the configuration. The publication’s 1 TB test unit used a Samsung PM991a PCIe 3.0 SSD; its measured roughly 2 GB/s reads and just over 1 GB/s writes apply to that tested drive, not automatically to every Book2 Pro 360 SKU.
Heat and fan noise
Thermal behavior varies with workload and test method. Tom’s Guide measured a hottest point of 97.7°F after 15 minutes of Full HD video streaming and recommended using a desk or other solid surface rather than a lap under that test. HotHardware, running a sustained 3DMark Night Raid load in High Performance mode, reported peak fan noise of 43–44 dB and warmest surface readings around 107°F. Those results describe different scenarios, not a direct disagreement about one fixed operating temperature.
Buying an older Galaxy Book2 Pro 360
The U.S. launch price was $1,249.99 in 2022, a historical figure rather than a current offer. Since this is an older model, assess the exact processor, memory and SSD configuration, seller, warranty and condition—especially for used or refurbished listings. Compare the actual price with newer laptops using the same priorities: carry weight, screen resolution and image quality, pen and hinge utility, graphics capability, battery-test context, ports and upgrade options.
