Yes—Riders Republic supports cross-play, cross-generation play, and cross-progression. Players on supported PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms can join the same multiplayer activities, and Ubisoft says game progress and achievements follow the player to another linked platform.
The catch is ownership. Cross-progression does not give you a free copy on every platform. You can use that synchronized progress only where the game is available to you through a purchase or a valid subscription entitlement, and Ubisoft warns that moving between platform families may require buying the game again.
Is Riders Republic cross-play?
Yes. Ubisoft describes Riders Republic as supporting cross-play, so players using supported PlayStation, Xbox and PC platform families can play multiplayer activities together even when they are on different hardware. It also supports cross-generation play within the console families.

That means a PlayStation player can play with supported Xbox or PC players, while a PS4 player can play with a PS5 player and an Xbox One player can play with someone on Xbox Series X|S. Availability still depends on the current platform, network service and regional configuration; cross-play is not a promise that every storefront or subscription tier has identical terms.

What is cross-progression in Riders Republic?
Cross-progression ties your supported game progression and achievements to the Ubisoft account relationship rather than leaving them locked to one machine. When you launch on another linked platform where you own or otherwise have access to the game, that progression can be available there.
Ubisoft’s title-specific wording says that “your progress and achievements in the game follows you from one platform to another.” In practical terms, this covers the rider progression you have earned and the achievement record associated with the game. It is different from cross-play: cross-play is about joining other players, while cross-progression is about carrying your own game state between platforms.
Do not treat that promise as an item-by-item guarantee for every purchase. The official Riders Republic information does not publish a complete matrix for downloadable content, premium currency, season benefits or every platform-store entitlement. Verify those categories separately before moving a large purchase.
Which platforms currently support Riders Republic?
Ubisoft’s current product listing names five supported platform families. PC is best treated as a platform family here, not as a claim that every individual PC storefront has the same entitlement or account behavior.

Stadia should not be listed as a current option. An older launch announcement mentioned it, but Ubisoft’s current product page no longer includes it.
Do I have to buy Riders Republic again on another platform?
Usually, yes. Cross-progression is not cross-buy. Ubisoft’s account guidance says you can access progression on a platform linked to your Ubisoft account “where you own the game,” and its transfer policy explains that game licenses are tied to the platform and account where they were activated.
Moving within the same console family
A PS4-to-PS5 move may qualify for a free next-generation upgrade when you own an eligible version. The same applies to an Xbox One-to-Xbox Series X|S move. Ubisoft’s product information lists those upgrade paths with conditions and restrictions, so check the edition and offer shown for your account rather than assuming every disc, bundle or promotional copy qualifies.

Moving between PlayStation, Xbox and PC
A PlayStation purchase does not normally license the Xbox or PC version, and an Xbox purchase does not normally license the PlayStation or PC version. You can still use the same Ubisoft account and recover supported progression after obtaining access on the destination platform, but the destination store may require its own purchase.

Using a subscription instead of ownership
A subscription can provide temporary access without being permanent ownership. If that subscription ends, Ubisoft says games in the subscription library become unavailable unless you buy the game or otherwise regain access. Progression and in-game content may carry over when you purchase the equivalent edition or renew access, but the subscription entitlement itself is not a transferable license.
How do I set up Riders Republic cross-progression?
You need the Ubisoft account that contains your existing Riders Republic progress, the destination platform account and valid game access on that destination. Check the account relationship before starting the game on the new platform; creating a second Ubisoft account can make the problem harder to diagnose.
- Sign in to the correct Ubisoft account. Use the account that currently contains your Riders Republic progression, not simply the email address you happen to use on the new device.
- Open Account Information and choose “Linked accounts.” Confirm which PlayStation Network, Xbox or PC/service account is already connected.
- Link the destination platform account to that same Ubisoft account. If the platform account is already attached elsewhere, resolve that relationship before launching Riders Republic.
- Confirm game access on the destination. You need an eligible purchase, upgrade or active subscription entitlement for that platform; linking alone does not unlock the game.
- Launch Riders Republic and sign in through Ubisoft Connect when prompted. Allow the game to synchronize before changing account settings or creating new profile data.
- Check progression in the game. If your expected progress is missing, stop and verify the Ubisoft and platform account pair instead of linking another account.
Ubisoft also says account linking and unlinking can have permanent effects on games and subscriptions. An external account may already be linked to another Ubisoft account, and the available relinking options can be limited, so do not unlink a working account merely to experiment.

This distinction prevents a common mistake: seeing your rider level on a new platform and assuming that every paid entitlement must also be cross-buy. Progression, achievements, licenses and consumable currency are separate categories.
How does cross-generation play differ from cross-progression?
Cross-generation play answers whether older- and newer-generation consoles can join the same activities. Cross-progression answers whether your saved game state is available after changing platforms. Riders Republic supports both, but they solve different problems.
- PS4 to PS5: eligible versions may receive a free next-generation upgrade, and the two generations can play together.
- Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S: eligible versions may receive a free next-generation upgrade, and the generations can play together.

Missing progression is most often an account-linking or entitlement issue, not proof that cross-progression is unavailable. Work through the checks below before unlinking anything.

- Stop creating new profile data. Do not start by registering another Ubisoft account or linking the destination platform to a different account.
- Compare account identities. On the original platform, identify the Ubisoft account that holds the progress. Then compare it with the account shown under the destination platform’s linked-account settings.
- Check destination access. Confirm that the destination platform has a purchase, eligible upgrade or active subscription that actually grants access to Riders Republic.
- Restart the sign-in path. Close the game, sign out only where necessary, launch again and complete the Ubisoft Connect sign-in with the verified account.
- Review the edition and region. A different edition, store region or subscription state can affect what you can launch even when the Ubisoft account is correct.

If the game launches but a paid item is absent while progression appears, treat that as an entitlement question. Ubisoft’s general policy says activated games and in-game content are linked to the platform and Ubisoft account where they were activated; it does not establish that every Riders Republic item is shared across stores.
Can I play with friends on different platforms?
Yes, provided each friend is using a currently supported platform and has access to the game. A PlayStation, Xbox or PC player can join supported multiplayer activities with users on the other platform families, subject to the live service and regional availability.
Before troubleshooting an invitation, confirm that everyone is signed in to the intended Ubisoft account and that the game is updated and accessible on the platform being used. Cross-play changes who can join; it does not remove the need for each player to have a valid way to launch the game.
