There is no single winner because the important differences are connection support and operating mode. INZONE Buds are the better match for a PS5 or PC player who values longer specified endurance, ANC, and configurable Windows audio. PS5 setup
For PULSE Explore, plug its supplied PlayStation Link adapter into the PS5 and select the earbuds as the audio output. For INZONE Buds, plug in the supplied USB-C transceiver, set its switch to the PS5 position, and select the USB headset in PS5 audio settings. Do not move one product’s adapter to the other product; each radio link is designed for its own earbuds.
PlayStation Portal
PlayStation’s accessory documentation specifically describes PULSE Explore connecting directly to Portal through PlayStation Link: PlayStation PULSE Explore support. That is a material advantage if Portal is your primary handheld. Both products can provide wireless computer audio through their dedicated USB hardware. INZONE Buds have the deeper Windows feature set: Sony’s INZONE Hub can expose equalizer, spatial sound, dynamic range, game/chat balance, and microphone-volume controls when the buds and USB transceiver are connected under the specified PC conditions. PULSE Explore’s PlayStation Link route is more appliance-like and does not offer an equivalent INZONE Hub control panel.
Phones and mixed audio
PULSE Explore supports mobile Bluetooth and can combine a PlayStation Link source with one Bluetooth source, such as a phone. Only one Bluetooth playback device can be connected at once. This makes it suitable for hearing a game while taking a call or listening for phone notifications.
INZONE Buds specify Bluetooth 5.3 LE Audio only. Sony states that “Regular Bluetooth is not supported” in its WF-G700N specifications. Which has better battery life?
INZONE Buds have the stronger published endurance in their USB-transceiver gaming mode. These are manufacturer maximums, not an independent test, and the connection mode and noise-control setting matter.

For a typical PS5 session through a dongle, INZONE’s specified 12-hour single-charge figure gives it a wide margin over PULSE Explore’s 5-hour figure. Turning ANC on, using higher volume, making calls, and radio conditions can reduce actual runtime; the published numbers should not be read as a guarantee for every configuration.
What are the ANC and microphone differences?
INZONE Buds specify active noise cancellation, an ambient-sound mode, and IPX4-equivalent protection. ANC reduces sound reaching the listener and is useful near fans, air conditioning, or household noise. Ambient mode intentionally feeds outside sound back in when you need awareness.
PULSE Explore advertises AI noise rejection for captured microphone audio. That can reduce environmental noise heard by people on the other end of a chat, but it is not a documented listener-facing ANC system. No PULSE Explore water-resistance rating is established in the cited material, so do not infer one from the microphone claim.

Do the drivers make one sound better?

PlayStation describes its PlayStation Link transport as lossless and low latency, while Sony describes INZONE’s 2.4 GHz USB-transceiver operation as low latency. No supplied source gives a controlled head-to-head latency number or listening result, so choose based on the connection and features rather than an invented sound ranking.
What software and firmware features do INZONE Buds add?
On a Windows PC, INZONE Hub can provide equalizer presets or adjustments, spatial sound, dynamic-range controls, game/chat balance, and microphone-volume settings when the buds are connected through the USB transceiver. Sony’s firmware version 03.000.004, released August 27, 2026, adds Gaming Audio Profile support, according to its INZONE Hub support article.
