Our verdict on WillSuite
WillSuite is cloud-based estate planning software for solicitors, will writers, financial advisers and estate planners. Its central workflow uses questionnaires to support the creation of wills, powers of attorney and other estate-planning documents. Around that core, it adds client and case management, pipeline tracking, automated communications, invoicing, payment integration, appointment booking, SMS reminders and reporting. The result is aimed at firms that want document automation alongside day-to-day practice administration rather than a document generator in isolation.
Pricing is straightforward for the Standard plan at $99 per user per month, with unlimited documents, process tracking, invoicing and an SMS appointment booking system. A 14-day Free trial provides full use of the system, with online support and a trial watermark on documents. The Bespoke Package adds additional documents, staff management, bespoke features and unlimited users. Integrations extend the workflow through LEAP, Stripe, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom and Connect. The platform is web-based, while the listed export capability is CSV. Firms should consider how the per-user Standard structure fits their staffing model before choosing a plan.
The strongest differentiator is breadth within the estate-planning workflow. A clause library and custom clauses support document configuration, while the client portal brings questionnaires, approvals, uploads and electronic signatures into a client-facing process. That combination can suit firms seeking one connected operating layer for matters, documents, payments and appointments. WillSuite is less suitable for teams looking only for a narrowly focused document automation tool, or for organisations that prefer a simpler standalone editor. Estate practices wanting automation plus practice-management functions should shortlist it; firms prioritising a different platform model should compare the workflow and plan structure carefully.
