Our verdict on TimeTec Patrol
TimeTec Patrol is a cloud-based security guard patrol system for security companies, commercial buildings and other organizations managing mobile guards. Supervisors configure routes, assign tasks, schedule work, monitor activity and review reports through the web portal. Guards use the Android app to scan checkpoints, follow assignments, submit incidents and receive updates. Its scope suits teams that need structured patrol verification and field records without a broad multi-platform deployment.
Pricing is split between user subscriptions and checkpoint licensing. The TimeTec Patrol user subscription costs $2 per user per month and includes cloud guard patrol management and the mobile patrol application. Checkpoint support is priced separately at $20 per 10-checkpoint block per month, or $216 per 10-checkpoint block per year with a 10% annual subscription discount. A 30-day trial is available without a credit card, while there is no free plan. This structure can keep entry costs low for small Android-based operations, but teams with many checkpoints should account for both recurring charges.
The product’s strongest functional area is patrol accountability in the field. NFC and beacon checkpoints support scanning and verification, while GPS location tracking provides map trails. Guards can submit structured incident reports with photo, video or audio evidence, trigger an SOS panic button with GPS location and captured photos, and continue operating offline before synchronizing later. Supervisors also receive patrol, incident and monthly patrol reports, with client notifications by email or mobile push. Choose TimeTec Patrol for Android-centered patrol teams that prioritize checkpoints, incident evidence and offline coverage; organizations requiring iOS support or a broader client-facing portal should consider alternatives.
