Our verdict on Synesis CMMS
Synesis CMMS is a cloud-based maintenance management system aimed at manufacturers coordinating asset care, work orders, inventory, inspections, and maintenance analytics. Its asset register includes hierarchies, maintenance history, criticality, locations, and cost tracking. Scheduling covers time-, meter-, calendar-, and condition-based preventive maintenance, while work orders span corrective, preventive, predictive, inspection, calibration, project, and safety tasks. That breadth makes it a fit for operations where maintenance and compliance processes need to be managed together, rather than for teams seeking only a basic service log.
The work-order and compliance workflows are a notable strength. Teams can capture labor, time, parts, downtime, photos, voice notes, and signatures, and inspection or calibration failures can automatically generate work orders. Approval workflows run through the application, email, and Microsoft Teams. Spare-parts controls include asset links, minimum and maximum levels, reorder points, and consumption tracking. Dashboards cover PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, backlog, and inventory, giving maintenance managers multiple views of execution and reliability.
