Our verdict on Sleipnir

Sleipnir is a hosted RTMP multistream relay for streamers using OBS, Streamlabs, a browser encoder, or another RTMP-compatible encoder. It accepts one stream upload and forwards it to multiple destinations, including native connections for Twitch, YouTube, and Kick plus custom RTMP and RTMPS endpoints. Unified chat, AI-generated animated browser-source overlays, StreamTeam pages, and an MCP server for account and destination automation make it suited to creators who want forwarding with a few supporting tools rather than a full production suite.

The plan structure is straightforward. Free costs $0 forever and supports three destinations, 1080p at 5 Mbps, unlimited hours under fair use, one custom overlay per month, and custom RTMP, with no watermark or ads. Standard costs $5 per month and adds five destinations, 1080p60 at 10 Mbps, 10 custom overlays per month, and SRT ingest. Pro costs $18 per month and raises capacity to eight destinations and 50 custom overlays per month while retaining 1080p60 at 10 Mbps, custom RTMP, and SRT ingest. The paid tiers therefore focus on destination count, quality, overlay allowance, and ingest options.

Sleipnir fits workflows built around OBS, Streamlabs, or another RTMP-compatible encoder, with server-side forwarding handling distribution after the initial upload. Custom destinations are important because native platform coverage is limited to Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. The service also supports unified chat and automation through its MCP server, while StreamTeam pages provide a way to show live members. It is a strong match for simple, affordable forwarding, especially when three destinations are enough on the free plan. Choose an alternative if recording, platforms beyond its native connections without custom setup, or output above 1080p is central to the workflow.
