Our verdict on Novagems
Novagems is workforce-management software for security guard companies and other field-service teams. It brings guard scheduling, GPS tracking, geofencing, NFC and QR checkpoint tours, incident reporting, timekeeping, payroll-ready timesheets, automated reports and alerts into one system. Guards can receive schedules, clock in and out, complete patrols, scan checkpoints, and submit reports from web, iOS or Android. Managers and clients also have access to operational, patrol and incident documentation. It is best suited to established firms seeking broad coverage across daily security operations rather than a narrowly focused scheduling tool.
The main strength is the connection between field activity and back-office administration. GPS and geofencing support location-aware oversight, while NFC and QR checkpoint tours provide a structured way to document patrols. Mobile incident reporting can include photos, videos and voice recordings, giving teams multiple formats for documenting events. Missed-checkpoint and attendance alerts add an exception-management layer, and payroll-ready timesheets connect clock-in and clock-out activity with payroll preparation. This combination makes Novagems a practical fit for firms that need scheduling, patrol verification, incident evidence and workforce records to work together.
Novagems offers one plan with Scheduling, GPS tracking and geofencing, Patrol and checkpoint tours, Incident reporting, Timesheets and 24/7 support. The pricing model is contact-sales, and the product includes a 14-day trial with a card required to start. That approach may suit organizations that want to discuss operational requirements before choosing a package, but it gives buyers less immediate price visibility and fewer published plan choices. Firms wanting a broad operational system across web and both mobile platforms should consider Novagems; smaller teams seeking a free option or simple, self-serve pricing may prefer an alternative.
