Our verdict on MPB
MPB is an online marketplace for used photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lenses, accessories, video cameras, drones, and action cameras. It suits people buying or selling visual-creation gear, from newcomers to experienced creators, who want a specialist marketplace rather than a general consumer-tech resale site. Buyers can browse by category and cosmetic condition, while sellers can request an instant quote to sell equipment to MPB or trade it toward other gear.
The buyback model shapes the selling process: MPB evaluates equipment with product specialists before resale, offers instant quotes, and charges zero fees for selling gear to MPB. Sellers also get free insured shipping. Buyers receive free shipping on used purchases, and used equipment includes warranty coverage. These terms make MPB particularly relevant when convenience and equipment-specific evaluation matter; it is not a peer-to-peer marketplace for selling general electronics. MPB is a free-to-use service, and the published details describe no separate paid plans.
Warranty terms deserve a closer look before purchase: MPB's US warranty page specifies six months, while its general About page describes twelve months, so coverage varies by market or applicable terms. The service is web-based, with phone, chat, and documentation support. Its narrow focus is an advantage for shoppers seeking camera and video equipment, but a limitation for anyone looking to buy or sell phones, computers, or other general consumer tech. Choose MPB for used photo and video gear and its buyback or trade-in route; consider a broader marketplace if your buying or selling needs extend beyond that equipment.
