Matomo is a web and mobile analytics platform for businesses, organizations, and individuals that want traffic reporting with privacy controls and deployment choice. Its feature set covers real-time visitor reports, event tracking, ecommerce reporting, conversion funnels, visitor profiles, segmentation, APIs, heatmaps, session recordings, form analytics, A/B testing, tag management, and data export. The platform is available as hosted Cloud software or as free, open-source On-Premise software.
The Community plan costs €0 forever and includes unlimited users and hits, forum support, community plugins, and all base features. Team costs €275 per month and adds support for up to 4 users and 5M hits per month, plus funnels, heatmaps, session recording, and WooCommerce Analytics. Business supports up to 20 users and 30M hits per month, adding cohorts, multi-channel attribution, and white label. Enterprise supports up to 50 users and 100M hits per month, with A/B testing, SAML/LDAP SSO, and Crash Analytics. VIP adds custom pricing, custom limits, and dedicated customer success. A 21-day free trial is also available.
Matomo fits teams that need a wide analytics toolkit across web, iOS, Android, APIs, or their own infrastructure. Integrations include WordPress, Google Tag Manager, WooCommerce, Looker Studio, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google Analytics data importing. The open-source model and self-hosted option suit organizations that want control over deployment and data storage, while the hosted option avoids infrastructure management. Choose Matomo when privacy, extensibility, and broad reporting matter together; choose a narrower tool if you only need basic traffic measurement or do not need its wider analysis features.
