Our verdict on ManageEngine AD360

ManageEngine AD360 is a modular identity and access management suite for organizations managing Windows Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Microsoft 365. It is designed for large hybrid identity programs that need administration, provisioning, delegated help desk access, auditing, reporting, password self-service, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, approval workflows, and backup from a web-based console. The suite supports on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, with web, Windows, and API access.

Pricing is organized by component. The ADManager Plus component costs $595 per license and covers Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 management and reporting. ADSelfService Plus adds self-service password management and single sign-on at $595 per license. ADAudit Plus costs $595 per license for user behavior analytics and auditing across Active Directory, file servers, and Windows Server. Exchange Reporter Plus, M365 Manager Plus, and RecoveryManager Plus are also each listed at $595 per license, covering Exchange reporting, Microsoft 365 management, and backup and restoration respectively. The published plans show a 60-day free trial and no free plan.

AD360’s main strength is breadth across the identity lifecycle and its surrounding administration needs. Integrations include ADP, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Jira Service Management, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Splunk, Okta, and BambooHR. Granular delegated administration, real-time change alerts, built-in reporting, and backup extend its use beyond basic directory changes. Organizations that want separate control over administration, self-service, auditing, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and recovery can select relevant components. Teams seeking only straightforward Active Directory administration may find the suite’s wider scope and component-based pricing less suitable.
