Our verdict on Jet-Stream Airflow Multi-CDN

Jet-Stream Airflow Multi-CDN is a managed traffic-distribution service for live and on-demand video streaming. It is designed for broadcasters, publishers, sports organizations, media companies and other professional streaming operators that need to distribute delivery across Jet-Stream CDN and global CDN providers. The service runs on the web and through an API, with HTTP routing, health checks, automatic failover, geographic routing and real-time analytics listed among its category capabilities.

Its main strength is the depth of its traffic controls for video delivery. Automated content steering can operate per viewer and request, while active CDN load balancing monitors integrated CDNs and routes traffic to alternatives when delivery fails. Teams can apply geographic distribution rules, per-video or per-stream overrides, and API controls for selecting specific edges or CDNs. Origin shielding, cache flushing, log processing and access control extend the service beyond basic traffic routing. Supported integrations include Jet-Stream CDN, Akamai, Fastly, Amazon CloudFront, EdgeNext, Medianova and bunny.net.

The published plans show a free Airflow Multi-CDN service bundled with Jet-Stream Cloud, while Cloud pricing uses request-pricing. The Trial plan costs €97 one time and includes one month of Jet-Stream Cloud testing, 30 minutes of expert consulting, JTS plus one global CDN, 10 concurrent viewers and 1,000 active CDN load-balancing hits. Basic, Pro, Enterprise and Broadcaster add progressively larger storage, traffic and transcoding allowances, with higher tiers adding global CDNs or bespoke Multi-CDN support. Choose it for low-cost CDN redundancy and detailed video-routing control; consider an alternative if you need a simpler, general-purpose CDN tool or published Cloud pricing.
