Javelin PDF Reader is a free application for reading standard PDF files and Drumlin-encrypted DRMX and DRMZ documents. It is designed for readers who need access to authorized protected publications across Windows, macOS, Android and iOS/iPadOS. Publishers can use Drumlin protection to control document access, printing and expiration, while readers get core tools for navigating, searching and marking up documents.
Its strongest fit is protected-document access combined with everyday reading features. Javelin supports internal and external hyperlinks, contents and navigation trees, multiple page-display formats, document text searching, highlighting, notes and graphic markup. After authorization, documents can be viewed offline. Catalogs for downloading publisher-provided documents also give the reader a direct route to available content. Text-to-speech uses operating-system accessibility features on Windows, macOS and Android, adding an option for read-aloud access on those platforms.
