Our verdict on Inteset Secure Lockdown
Inteset Secure Lockdown is Windows software for turning computers into locked-down, single-purpose systems. It is suited to organizations deploying kiosks, digital signage, point-of-sale systems, custom applications, and institutional workstations across retail, hospitality, education, government, healthcare, and libraries. The software can restrict access to selected applications, launch directly into an application or menu, hide Windows desktop features and shortcuts, and limit browsing to approved websites. Its platform coverage is Windows-only, making it a focused choice for managed Windows deployments rather than a cross-platform kiosk system.
Pricing is based on one-time licenses. The Standard Edition costs $19.95 and runs one main application exclusively, with Windows desktop lockdown and remote management services. The Browser Edition and Internet Explorer Edition each cost $24.95 and add kiosk browser controls for Chrome or Edge, or Internet Explorer, respectively. The Multi Application Edition costs $29.95 and supports selected applications, a customizable application menu, and Chrome and Edge lockdown. PlayBox Browser Edition costs $199.95 and includes a Chrome-based kiosk player device, Windows 10 core operating system, and remote management services. A 30-day free trial is available. Remote Management Services is offered separately from the core editions.
Remote administration is a notable part of the product’s fit. Cloud management can change settings remotely, perform restart, logoff, and shutdown operations, and capture device screenshots and status information. Integrations with TeamViewer, LogMeIn, Citrix, and BigFix can connect the lockdown setup with third-party remote-access or management environments. Choose Inteset Secure Lockdown when low-cost, one-time Windows licensing and focused kiosk controls are priorities. Organizations needing broader platform coverage or a single subscription that includes all remote-management services should consider alternatives.
