EspoCRM is an open-source customer relationship management platform for small and medium-sized businesses that need control over deployment and customization. Its free self-hosted edition is licensed under AGPLv3, while paid cloud hosting is available through Basic, Enterprise, and Ultimate plans. The platform covers account, contact, lead, and opportunity management; visual sales pipelines; campaigns; customer cases; portals; knowledge bases; reports; dashboards; and analytics. It also supports custom entities, fields, layouts, and relationships.
The product’s breadth makes it suitable for teams that want sales, marketing, customer support, email tools, and business-process automation in one CRM. Workflows and BPMN automation support configurable processes, while REST API access and integrations connect EspoCRM with Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Gmail, Outlook Calendar, Outlook Contacts, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Stripe, Mailchimp, Google Maps, Zapier, and Make. AI features include summaries, intelligent paste, and an AI email composer. Web, Windows, macOS, Linux, API, and self-hosted deployment options support varied technical environments.
Pricing is freemium, with a free plan and a 30-day free trial. The published plans show Basic, Enterprise, and Ultimate, each with the full feature set, all extensions included, external access API, 2000+ integrations, and 12x5 support. The listed starting price is 12.90 EUR. Email documentation states that EspoCRM does not provide two-way synchronization between its email folders and IMAP folders by design. Choose EspoCRM if self-hosting, open-source licensing, configurable data structures, and broad CRM coverage matter most. Teams wanting two-way IMAP folder synchronization should consider another CRM.
