Our verdict on EDAS

EDAS is a hosted web application for conferences, workshops, journals, and similar events. It is designed for organizers handling paper registration and manuscript uploads, reviewer assignment, configurable review forms, decisions, author notifications, registration, copyright collection, proceedings preparation, conference websites, and event programs. Its scope fits small conferences through large events with multiple sub-conferences and thousands of papers, particularly when an event needs more than submission intake alone.

The product’s strongest angle is workflow coverage. Organizers can configure tracks, deadlines, review stages, email templates, sessions, and schedules through a browser. Review assignments can be manual or automatic, and the platform supports both single-blind and double-blind review. It also covers conference registration and payment collection, automatic schedule generation, copyright and IEEE eCopyright support, and preparation for IEEE Xplore content. Integrations with Zoom, WebEx, YouTube, and Vimeo extend its fit for events that publish or deliver sessions through established video platforms.

Pricing follows conference usage rather than conventional subscription tiers. The published plans show a $60 minimum per conference for paper processing, with paper processing priced at $6 per paper for the first 200 counted papers. Additional services have separate charges. That structure makes EDAS a practical choice for conferences that need a broad operational workflow and are prepared for paid processing, especially those working with IEEE-related copyright and proceedings requirements. It is less suitable for organizers seeking a free plan, a narrow submission-only tool, or a non-web platform.
