Our verdict on Druva Data Resiliency Cloud

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is a cloud-managed, agentless backup and recovery platform for organizations protecting virtual machines alongside files, databases, and NAS. It covers VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Proxmox VE, and Azure Local through web and API access. Its feature set is aimed at teams that want SaaS-based backup infrastructure rather than traditional backup appliances or storage, with policy automation and VM auto-discovery supporting centralized administration.

The published plans use consumption-based pricing and require contact with sales. Business includes autonomous protection for files, VMs, databases, and NAS, global data deduplication, and flexible, fast, granular recovery. Enterprise adds multiple storage regions, Data Lock, and instant VM recovery with Druva TurboTier. Elite lists the same highlighted capabilities as Enterprise. A 30-day trial provides an evaluation route, while the absence of a free plan makes this a sales-led purchase rather than a self-serve option.

Druva’s strongest fit is environments with varied hypervisors and recovery requirements. Air-gapped and immutable backup storage support resilience goals, while application-aware SQL Server backup, cross-cloud recovery, and recovery to alternate environments extend the platform beyond basic VM copying. Integrations include AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, ServiceNow, and Splunk. Organizations needing broad, cloud-managed protection across the named platforms should shortlist it; smaller teams seeking a free tier, public pricing, or a narrowly focused VM backup tool may prefer an alternative with a simpler buying process.
