Our verdict on Atera
Atera is a cloud-based remote monitoring and management platform for managed service providers and internal IT departments. It brings together real-time endpoint monitoring, remote management, automated patching, scripting, software management, network monitoring, ticketing, helpdesk, reporting and asset management. The platform supports Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints, with web, iOS, Android and API access. Its per-technician model includes unlimited managed devices, while MSP plans also include unlimited client organizations.
The tier structure expands the platform from core endpoint operations into broader service delivery. Pro includes monitoring and alerts, remote management, patch management, IT automation and scripting, Splashtop remote access and API access. Growth adds Mac and Linux support, AnyDesk access, unlimited concurrent Splashtop sessions, asset management and preset reports. Power adds custom reports, expanded support addresses, custom asset types, data recovery and extended audit retention. Superpower adds single sign-on, a private software repository, Network Discovery and a 99.9% uptime SLA. A Professional plan also includes software management, a service portal and mobile app access.
Integration coverage is a significant part of Atera’s fit for established IT workflows.
