Our verdict on Amal
Amal is an AI-first spreadsheet workspace for go-to-market teams and other knowledge workers. It is positioned for sales, marketing, recruiting, finance, operations, and executive-support work. Its AI agents can gather information from APIs, email, PDFs, and the web, then clean, standardize, enrich, and analyze spreadsheet data. Natural-language commands, formula computation, data transformation, OCR, and reasoning for PDFs, images, and voice notes extend the workspace beyond conventional spreadsheet editing.
Pricing is straightforward: the Private Beta plan costs $10 per month, and the plan highlights an AI-native spreadsheet workspace and the ability to cancel anytime. There is no free plan. The product is presented as a private beta with limited spots, so it is a better fit for teams comfortable adopting a developing product than for buyers seeking a broadly established spreadsheet platform. The published offer also includes a first-month-free promotion on the homepage.
Amal’s strongest distinction is its breadth across research, reporting, and follow-up work. It can generate reports, presentations, emails, and workflows, while integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets connect it to a Google productivity environment. Email, calendar, and CRM integrations are also listed. Source-backed cells and audit logs add useful traceability for reporting and analysis. Choose Amal when your spreadsheet work depends on gathering information from multiple sources and turning it into structured outputs. A simpler spreadsheet tool may be a better choice for teams that only need formulas, tables, or basic data analysis.
