Our verdict on AhoyMail
AhoyMail is a hosted business email service for freelancers and teams that need custom-domain mail without managing their own mail server. It combines webmail with secure IMAP and POP access, spam and virus protection, server-side filtering, calendars, contacts, aliases and linked accounts. Mail can be accessed on the web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with support for Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, native iPhone and Android email applications, and CalDAV clients. Its positioning fits small businesses that want business mail, calendar support and migration tools in one hosted service.
Pricing is organized into three paid plans, with a 14-day free trial and no free plan. Freelancer costs $19 and includes one mailbox/user, 10 email addresses, 30 GB of storage, full-featured calendars, a mail import tool and a custom domain. Small Team costs $79 and provides five mailboxes/users, 10 email addresses per user, 300 GB of storage, calendars, mail import and a custom domain. Unlimited costs $129 and supports any number of users, includes 10 mailboxes, 10 email addresses per user, 1000+ GB of storage and full-featured calendars. The plan structure gives individual users and growing teams distinct starting points.
Integration and migration support are central strengths. AhoyMail can connect with established desktop and mobile mail clients through IMAP or POP, while CalDAV synchronization extends calendar access beyond webmail. Email import tools support moves from other providers, and aliases, filtering and address-book management help organize ongoing use. Choose AhoyMail if custom-domain hosting, client flexibility, calendars and migration are priorities. Users seeking free email hosting should look elsewhere, and teams wanting a broader business software suite may prefer a product designed beyond email and calendar services.
