Use the complete game name, subtitle, publisher listing, and regional box details when checking a store or compatibility database. Can I put an original PS2 disc in a PS5?

- Check title-specific compatibility: Do not infer support solely from the PS4 logo. Look up the exact game in Sony’s current compatibility information or the relevant product listing.
- Insert the disc: Put the PS4 disc into the PS5 disc drive. The console should present the game’s hub for the compatible edition.
- Launch from the game hub: Select the game and follow the on-screen installation or update prompts.
- Keep the disc inserted: The disc remains the proof of ownership, so you must insert it each time you play.

How can I play the same physical re-release on PS4?

Hardware and files you need
- A PC capable of running the current PCSX2 build.
- Your own PlayStation 2 console from which to dump the BIOS, following PCSX2’s documentation.
- Your own original PS2 game disc, or a backup created from that disc.

The PS5 does not react to the disc

PCSX2 cannot find the BIOS
Confirm that the BIOS was dumped from your own PS2 and that PCSX2 is pointed to the folder containing the files. A BIOS downloaded from an unrelated website is not the documented replacement for an own-console dump.
The PC has no optical drive
