The key distinction for IT teams is release status: Omnissa’s Intelligence 26.09.15 notes mark its hosted MCP Server generally available, while several other announced capabilities are described as coming or have no availability date in the announcement.
What Omnissa announced
The announcements span three connected areas: agents for endpoint operations, services and desktops designed for people and agents, and controls intended to govern AI-driven actions. Omnissa says the goal is to reduce the distance between insight and action. The announcement describes planned product behavior; the company’s capability and scale claims have not been independently validated here.
Agents for endpoint work
Omnissa described three agents that address different parts of IT operations:
- Digital Employee Experience (DEX) agent: Investigates an employee experience problem, identifies a likely cause and recommends a resolution using existing playbooks or prior Workspace ONE Assist session history. DEX signals can also help track rollout progress and possible user impact.
- Workspace ONE Vulnerability Defense agent: Reviews and prioritizes vulnerabilities and prepares patch actions. Omnissa describes it as seeking approval before deployment, a human review point rather than unattended patching.
- Windows App Lifecycle agent: Packages and tests an application, then presents the result for administrator review.
These descriptions explain what Omnissa says the agents are intended to do; they do not establish their accuracy, effectiveness or performance in customer environments.

MCP Server for Omnissa services
Omnissa’s hosted MCP Server lets administrators connect an MCP-compatible agentic tool to Omnissa services. Its September 29, 2026 Intelligence 26.09.15 release notes mark the server generally available and list Omnissa Access, Horizon, Intelligence, Workspace ONE Hub Services and Workspace ONE UEM as supported products. The notes describe goal-oriented tools for device-posture diagnosis, compliance workflows, analytics, dashboards and workflows created from natural-language descriptions. Omnissa says the tools use the administrator’s existing role and access permissions; its announcement also says actions are recorded in the existing audit log. Read the Intelligence 26.09.15 release notes.
Cloud PC and Horizon Delegate
Omnissa Cloud PC is described as a turnkey desktop-as-a-service package combining compute with unified endpoint management, digital employee experience and Horizon Cloud DaaS. Omnissa says it will initially run on AWS, with more hyperscaler options planned. The announcement gives no general-availability date.
Horizon Delegate is described as an agent inside a user’s Horizon virtual machine that can work on the user’s behalf using the user’s approved identity and permissions, including when the user is disconnected from the virtual session. The announcement also gives no general-availability date for this offering.
How Omnissa says AI actions will be governed
Permissions and administrator review
The described controls include permission inheritance for tools connected through MCP Server and human review for agent-prepared work. In particular, Omnissa says the vulnerability agent seeks approval before deployment and the application lifecycle agent presents its output for administrator review. That is a meaningful design distinction from a claim that an agent can make and execute every consequential change on its own. Actual workflows and enforcement should be assessed against the organization’s own roles, access policies and change controls.

Elara as an authority layer
Omnissa introduced Elara as an authority layer for AI governance and high-impact enterprise actions. The stated aim is to bring together signals from systems that might otherwise be managed separately, giving IT and security leaders broader context for applying policy before consequential actions. The announcement does not specify detailed implementation requirements or a general-availability date.
Staged rollouts and trust controls
Omnissa’s autonomous endpoint management blog describes phased deployment as a way to track, pause and resume staged application rollouts. Progression can be based on installation success rates, configured waits or DEX signals such as crashes and startup performance. The blog also describes reusable rollout templates and more granular targeting through Smart Groups 2.0. Phased deployment already existed; DEX-based progression, templates and Smart Groups 2.0 are presented as extensions.
The same blog describes dual administrator approval and root-of-trust signing for apps and profiles as capabilities coming to Workspace ONE UEM—not as generally available features in that source. Read Omnissa’s autonomous endpoint management explanation.

What the announcement means for IT teams
This is broader than a chatbot launch. Omnissa is connecting endpoint agents, MCP-based interaction with its services, desktop services and AI governance in one announcement. The practical question is not just what an agent can do, but which actions it may take, which require approval, what gets logged and how a rollout can be stopped if user experience deteriorates.
- Check the action boundary: Distinguish between an agent that diagnoses or prepares a change and one authorized to execute it.
- Verify access and audit controls: For MCP-connected tools, map inherited administrator permissions to the roles that will use them and confirm how actions appear in audit records.
- Review rollout safeguards: Determine how success thresholds, waits and DEX signals will affect promotion, pausing and resumption in your deployment.
- Separate available features from roadmap items: MCP Server is marked generally available in the cited release notes; several agents and offerings have no stated availability date, while some UEM controls are described as coming.
Omnissa’s AI adoption and scale figures
Omnissa cited its own 2026 figures to explain the need for management and governance. The company reported a nearly 1,000% year-over-year increase in AI assistant usage across enterprise endpoints and said three-quarters of that reported usage came from unsanctioned tools. It also reported processing approximately 50 TB of endpoint data each day and 150 million workflow executions per month across tens of millions of endpoints. These are Omnissa-reported figures, not independently audited measures. See Omnissa’s Omnissa ONE 2026 announcement.
