Netflix Games are installed as regular mobile apps from Google Play or Apple’s App Store, then opened with your Netflix account and a chosen profile. On Android, use Netflix’s Mobile Games row or Games shortcut, tap Get Game, install from Google Play, and open the title. On iPhone or iPad, choose a game in Netflix, tap Get Game or Play Game, then tap Get or the App Store cloud icon. You can also search for the title directly in either store.
You need an active Netflix membership, internet access for downloading and installing, enough free storage, and a compatible device. Netflix lists Android 8 and iOS/iPadOS 15.0 as general minimums, recommends Android 9, iOS 17, and iPadOS 17 for the best experience, and warns that individual games may require newer software or specific hardware.

- Internet connection: You need internet access to download and install the app. The official requirements do not promise that every title can be played offline, so do not assume offline access.

How do I download and play Netflix Games on Android?
The quickest Android route starts inside the Netflix app and sends you to Google Play for installation. After installation, the game is a separate app that can be opened from Netflix, your home screen, or the app drawer.
- Open Netflix and sign in to the membership you intend to use.
- Find the games area. Swipe down until you reach the Mobile Games row, or tap the Games shortcut at the top of the Netflix app if it is shown.
- Select a game. Open its details page and tap Get Game.
- Install from Google Play. Netflix opens the game’s Google Play listing. Tap Install and accept any permissions Google Play presents.
- Open the title. Tap Open when installation finishes.
- Choose a Netflix profile. When the game asks, select the profile whose progress should be associated with this play session.
Once installed, you do not have to return to Netflix every time. Launch the title from the Android home screen or app drawer, or use the game entry in Netflix. If the title requests Netflix credentials, use the email address and password for the active membership, then select the intended profile.
How do I install a Netflix Game directly from Google Play?
Direct search is useful when the Netflix row is unavailable or you already know the title’s name.
- Open Google Play and search for the game by name, or browse the Netflix Games collection.
- Select the matching result and tap Install.
- Open the installed game.
- If prompted, tap Continue, enter the Netflix account email and password, and proceed.
- Choose a Netflix profile and start playing.
Use the exact game title when searching. If several results look similar, return to Netflix and use its game listing so that you select the intended title.
How do I download and play Netflix Games on an iPhone or iPad?
On iPhone and iPad, Netflix hands the installation to the App Store. The labels differ slightly from Android, but the sequence is the same: choose a title, install it, open it, and select a Netflix profile.
- Open the Netflix app on the iPhone or iPad.

What is different between the Android and iPhone/iPad installation flows?
The platforms use different store buttons, while the account and profile behavior remains the same. This table summarizes the practical differences.

Netflix’s best-experience guidance is higher than these minimums: Android 9, iOS 17, and iPadOS 17 or later. A game’s own listing or requirements can impose a higher threshold on any platform.
Do Netflix Games cost extra or require another account?
Netflix includes its mobile games with the membership rather than charging a separate game price. Netflix states that the games have “No ads. No extra fees. No in-app purchases.”
Use the Netflix account associated with the membership and select a Netflix profile when the game starts. Netflix Help Center explains: “Your Netflix account gives you access to the game—there are no extra in‑game purchases and no separate game account required.” A game may still display a Netflix sign-in screen on first launch, especially when it was installed directly from a store; that screen is for the existing Netflix account, not for creating a new gaming account.
How do Netflix profiles and game saves work?
Progress is associated with the Netflix profile selected inside the game. If several people use one membership, each person should choose their own profile so that progress is kept with the intended player.
Save handling depends on the title. Netflix says some games store saves in the cloud and others store them locally on the device. The service also warns that deleting the Netflix profile permanently removes progress linked to that profile.
Uninstalling a game or resetting its app data is different from merely closing it. Netflix says data removed by uninstalling the game or resetting its data cannot be recovered. Before clearing app data, resetting a device, or deleting a profile, treat any local progress as at risk.

Why can’t I find a Netflix Game?
Work through compatibility, app version, profile maturity, launch timing, and platform support. The most likely cause is that the title is being filtered or is unavailable for the device, not that the download button is hidden randomly.
The Mobile Games row or Games shortcut is missing
Update the Netflix app first. Netflix identifies an outdated Netflix app as a reason the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut may not appear. After updating, reopen Netflix and check the row again.
The game is missing but other games appear
Check the selected profile’s maturity setting against the game’s maturity rating. Netflix says a profile below the required rating may not display the title. Switch to an eligible profile, or adjust the profile’s maturity setting if the account owner permits that change.
The device may not meet the game’s requirements
Compare the device with both Netflix’s general minimum and the individual game’s listing. The general floor is Android 8 or iOS/iPadOS 15.0, but some titles require more. Meeting the general floor does not guarantee that every game will be available.
The title has not launched yet
Netflix says games appear in its available-games listing after launch. If a title was announced but is not in that listing, it may simply not be available yet.

You are looking on a TV or another unsupported platform
Netflix mobile games are downloaded from Google Play or the App Store. Netflix says they cannot be played on TVs or similar platforms, so searching a television app for the mobile game will not produce an installable result.
How do I fix a Netflix Game that crashes, freezes, or will not respond?
Start with the least disruptive fixes, then check the game and device state. Netflix’s basic troubleshooting sequence is to close the game and other running apps, restart the device, and check for game updates.

- Close the game completely. Remove it from the device’s recent-apps or app-switching view rather than leaving it suspended.
- Close other running apps. This frees memory and reduces competing background activity.
- Restart the phone or tablet. Reopen Netflix or the game after the restart.
- Check for updates. Look for an available update for the game in Google Play or the App Store, and update the Netflix app if its game row or shortcut is malfunctioning.
- Retry the title. If the same failure continues, confirm that the device still meets the game’s requirements and has adequate storage.
Do not uninstall the game or reset its data as a first troubleshooting step if the save matters. Netflix says removed game data cannot be recovered.
What should I do about poor performance or visual problems?
Close other apps, check for game updates, and try again after restarting the device. These are Netflix’s recommended first actions for performance and visual issues. If the title remains unusable, recheck the operating-system and game-specific requirements rather than assuming that every compatible Netflix app supports every device equally.

What should I check when game sound does not work?
- Raise the device’s media volume.
- Check whether the phone or tablet is muted, in silent mode, or in Do Not Disturb.
- Open the game’s own sound settings and confirm that effects and music are enabled.
- Check Bluetooth connections; audio may be routed to a paired headset or speaker.
Netflix lists these checks for sound problems. They distinguish a game setting or audio route issue from a failed installation.
Can I use the same game on both Android and iPhone?
The installation instructions are platform-specific, and the store download must match the device: Google Play for Android and the App Store for iPhone or iPad. Your Netflix membership and profile are the account layer shared across supported devices, but save behavior depends on the individual title because Netflix says some saves are cloud-based and others are local.
