Does Moonlight Peaks have couch co-op?
There is no announced couch co-op. A second DualSense controller will not be a prerequisite for playing the PS5 version, and buying an additional controller should not be treated as unlocking a two-player mode. PS Plus Premium trial
XSEED has announced a two-hour PlayStation Plus Premium trial beginning with the PS5 launch. Progress made in that trial will carry into the full PS5 game if you purchase it, according to the publisher’s announcement. Because access is limited to Premium subscribers and the clock is limited to two hours, call it a subscription trial rather than a free PS5 demo.
Earlier platform dates
The Steam page displays July 6, 2026 as its PC release date, while the publisher describes the initial multi-platform launch as July 7, 2026. Those are different published dates, so they should be attributed rather than silently merged. The distinction does not change the planned PS5 date.

Developer backup change
Little Chicken’s October 6, 2026 patch notes for earlier platforms state: “Loading a save file successfully now stores a backup.” That is a useful safeguard described in the existing-platform notes, but it is not a measured test of the unreleased PS5 build. Read the developer’s patch notes as evidence of the change on those versions, not as a complete PS5 save specification.
Can I transfer my Steam save to PS5?
There is no confirmed Steam-to-PS5 cross-save. The PC game’s Steam Cloud entry describes cloud storage for the Steam version; it does not document a PlayStation account link, a shared save format or an import tool. What controls and DualSense features are confirmed?
