Verdict: The Minix EU715-AI is an exceptionally quiet, highly expandable Windows 11 Pro mini PC with strong productivity performance, four-display support, dual 2.5GbE and Thunderbolt 4. Its problem is price: the first-generation Core Ultra 7 155H platform is difficult to recommend at the $1,300 review price or MINIX’s currently listed $1,379, unless its acoustics, port selection and upgrade path matter more to you than having the newest processor.
What the Minix EU715-AI is
The Elite EU715-AI is a 140 mm-class, all-metal Windows 11 Pro mini PC built around Intel’s Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H. The commonly reviewed configuration includes Intel Arc integrated graphics, 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. MINIX also advertises Intel AI Boost NPU acceleration, four-display output and two 2.5GbE network interfaces. That combination makes the EU715-AI more than a basic office box. It is aimed at buyers who want desktop-class connectivity and replaceable components in a very small chassis, while remaining quiet enough for a desk or living room.

Performance: fast enough for demanding everyday work
Tom’s Guide reviewer Anthony Spadafora used the EU715-AI as a daily computer for more than a month and ran Geekbench 6.4, file-copy and HandBrake tests. The results place it ahead of the comparison mini PCs in that test set, although they are laboratory measurements rather than a guarantee for every application or sustained workload.

In practical terms, the Core Ultra 7 155H has ample headroom for office suites, large browser sessions, software development, photo work and light content creation. The Intel Arc graphics are suitable for display driving and casual or older games, but this is not a replacement for a mini PC with a discrete GPU if your priority is modern high-settings gaming or heavy GPU rendering.
The NPU can accelerate supported AI features, but the presence of an AI Boost unit alone does not make every AI application faster. Compatibility and software support determine whether you will notice a benefit.
Noise and thermals: the standout advantage
Quiet operation is the EU715-AI’s clearest advantage. Tom’s Guide measured 36dB and reported that the computer remained inaudible during work with more than 20 Chrome tabs spread across three windows. The review’s verdict says peak operation reached about 40dB and compares its character favorably with the noise level of an M4 Mac mini. Those readings come from that review’s test environment, so room noise, fan profiles and workload can change the result.

For a Windows mini PC with this processor class, that acoustic performance is unusually good. It is especially valuable in a recording area, bedroom, shared office or home-theater setup where a constantly audible fan is distracting.
Ports, displays and networking
The EU715-AI offers a desktop-like rear panel and enough video outputs for a four-screen workstation. MINIX rates the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs for up to 8K at 60Hz under the stated conditions; the achievable resolution and refresh rate still depend on the monitor, cable and output combination.

Thunderbolt 4 supports compatible high-speed peripherals and docks. Dual 2.5GbE is useful for a fast local network, storage server, virtualization lab or separate wired networks, while Wi-Fi 6E handles wireless connectivity where a compatible 6GHz network is available.

There is one important display caveat. Tom’s Guide encountered a rear USB-C video-handshake problem with two portable monitors; connecting a second power cable made that setup work. If your desk depends on USB-C-powered portable screens, test the exact monitor and cable arrangement during the return window.

The limited rear USB-A count may also matter if you connect several legacy peripherals without a hub. There is no SD-card reader, and the system has no built-in speaker, so calls and voice-assistant use require headphones, a headset, a monitor with speakers or another external audio device.
RAM and storage upgrades
The bottom cover is user-accessible. Tom’s Guide opened it by removing four corner screws and did not need to remove the rubber feet. Inside are two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots.

- Included drive: the factory 1TB SSD can be replaced, while the second M.2 slot remains available for expansion.
That layout is a substantial advantage over soldered-memory mini PCs. A practical upgrade sequence is to shut down and unplug the system, remove the four corner screws, lift the bottom cover carefully, install matched SO-DIMMs if increasing memory, and add or replace an M.2 2280 drive. Back up the original SSD before changing it; replacing the boot drive may require a Windows reinstall or disk clone.

The rear USB-C port accepts up to 100W of input, allowing a compatible USB Power Delivery supply instead of a conventional brick. Tom’s Guide notes that a third-party 100W GaN charger can make a more portable setup possible. Verify USB-C Power Delivery compatibility, cable wattage and the plug standard for your region before buying a replacement charger.

Price and value in 2026
Tom’s Guide reports a May 2025 launch price of $999 for the 32GB/1TB configuration. The review evaluated it at $1,300 after memory-market increases, while MINIX’s product page currently lists a $1,379 sale price. Prices and availability can change, and the figures are not interchangeable: the first is a launch price, the second is the review-time price, and the third is the current manufacturer listing cited here.
At roughly $1,300–$1,379, the EU715-AI asks you to pay a premium for qualities that are not captured by CPU-generation charts:
- Very low measured noise, with a 36dB test result and about 40dB peak reported by Tom’s Guide.
- Four-display capability, including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and Thunderbolt 4.
- Two 2.5GbE ports plus Wi-Fi 6E.
- Two RAM slots and two NVMe slots in a serviceable chassis.
- A compact metal enclosure and included VESA bracket.
The trade-off is that Core Ultra 7 155H belongs to Intel’s first Core Ultra generation. As newer Core Ultra generations arrive, the older platform becomes harder to justify at a premium price when a competing mini PC offers similar productivity speed for less or a newer processor for similar money. Compare current alternatives on street price, sustained CPU performance, acoustic output, rear-port layout and upgradeability rather than on processor branding alone.
Who should buy the EU715-AI?
It makes sense for
- Quiet-office, bedroom and living-room users who are sensitive to fan noise.
- Multi-monitor users needing up to four displays and a mix of HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C and Thunderbolt.
- Home-lab or workstation users who can exploit dual 2.5GbE.
- Buyers who want to expand to as much as 96GB of RAM and 8TB of NVMe storage.
- Anyone who values a VESA-mountable, all-metal chassis and replaceable components.
Look elsewhere if
- You want the best performance-per-dollar from the newest mobile CPU generation.
- You need discrete-GPU gaming or serious GPU compute.
- Your setup requires many rear USB-A ports, an SD-card reader or built-in speakers.
- You depend on multiple bus-powered portable USB-C monitors and cannot accommodate extra monitor power.
Bottom line
The Minix EU715-AI is a polished, unusually quiet mini PC with genuinely useful expansion and connectivity. Its Core Ultra 7 155H is still fast enough for demanding productivity, and the four-display, dual-2.5GbE design is uncommon in such a small Windows system. The purchase is justified when those features and near-silent operation are priorities. At the current $1,379 manufacturer listing, however, buyers should first compare newer mini PCs and confirm that the EU715-AI’s acoustics, port layout and upgradeability outweigh its aging platform and premium price.
