Microsoft’s Windows XP “Bliss” holiday sweater was a limited-quantity release announced in November 2023, and the available sources do not confirm that it is still for sale. If you want Microsoft-branded holiday knitwear instead, Xbox Gear Shop has listed other designs, but check the live page for stock, sizes, regional pricing, and shipping before ordering.
What happened to the Windows XP Bliss sweater?
Microsoft announced the Bliss-themed sweater on November 28, 2023, as that year’s Windows Ugly Sweater. The Windows Team described it as a limited-quantity release. That establishes its seasonal status, but not how many were made or whether it sold out. The announcement pointed people who missed it to downloadable Windows wallpapers instead of promising a restock. Microsoft’s 2023 announcement
Microsoft and Xbox sweater alternatives
Xbox Gear Shop pages have listed Xbox holiday knits, while reports about the 2025 season described additional Microsoft designs. These are documented alternatives, not confirmation that any item is currently available to buy.

How to choose and check an alternative
- Start with the official Xbox Gear Shop. Open its holiday collection and look for the specific design you want; a past product listing does not guarantee the item is currently stocked.
- Check your regional storefront. Prices and availability can differ between the U.S. and EU stores. Confirm the currency, shipping destination, and total cost at checkout.
- Confirm size and product details. Check the size selector and the current product description rather than relying on an older listing snapshot. For material and washing preferences, compare the garment details noted above with the live listing.
- For other 2025 designs, verify the exact item and seller. News coverage documents the seasonal designs but does not establish a current sales listing. If searching a marketplace, make sure the listing is for the design you want and does not imply Microsoft authorization unless that is clearly established.
If you mainly want the Windows XP look
The 2023 Microsoft announcement offered downloadable Windows-themed wallpapers for phones, Teams, or desktops to people who missed the sweater. They are a digital alternative, not apparel, and availability should be checked through the original Windows Team post.
