Microsoft incident TM1022107 affected calls routed through Teams-provisioned auto attendants and call queues—not all Teams calls, meetings, or Microsoft 365 services. Microsoft later said a change to an auto-attendant application ID record was rejecting call queues, then deployed a configuration fix and marked the incident resolved.

What happened in the Microsoft 365 outage?

On March 3, 2025, Microsoft warned that users might not receive calls routed through Microsoft Teams-provisioned auto attendants and call queues. Its alert said: “Users may not be able to receive calls placed through Microsoft Teams-provisioned auto attendants and call queues.” The wording was quoted in BleepingComputer’s contemporaneous report.

The incident was tracked as TM1022107. It concerned a specific call-routing path: callers reaching an organization through its Teams auto attendant or call queue. The alert does not establish that every Teams calling feature, Teams meetings, or Microsoft 365 as a whole was unavailable.

Why were Teams call queue calls failing?

Microsoft’s incident updates first mentioned that it was investigating a possible authentication-token issue. A later, more specific preliminary explanation identified a configuration change to an auto-attendant application ID record that was rejecting Teams call queues. This explanation appears in the incident update archive; it should be understood as Microsoft’s reported preliminary cause, not as a final post-incident analysis.

How did Microsoft resolve TM1022107?

Microsoft said it deployed a configuration change to the auto-attendant application, observed service improvement, and continued monitoring. The incident was subsequently marked resolved in the archived updates. Those updates do not provide an affected-user count or a definitive geographic scope.

What to do if only your calls are failing

If Microsoft 365 Service health does not show a relevant incident, check whether the problem is limited to a particular user, device, network, or call route. Microsoft’s general guidance for dropped Teams calls recommends checking network stability and whether the device is supported. That guidance applies to ordinary call-quality troubleshooting; it does not mean a headset or network change would have fixed TM1022107, which Microsoft attributed to a service configuration change.
