Meta also says Quest 3 delivers twice the GPU performance and 30% more memory than Quest 2. When Quest 3S is enough
Quest 3S is appropriate when the entry price dominates your decision and you want access to the current Quest software rather than the best optical specification. It uses the same processor and memory as Quest 3, so the compromise is concentrated in the display and field of view rather than the basic application platform.
Is Quest 3 good for PCVR?
Yes. Meta officially supports both wired Quest Link and wireless Air Link on Quest 3 and Quest 3S. That makes either headset a legitimate PCVR option, but headset compatibility does not guarantee a good experience: your computer must meet the requirements of the specific PCVR title, and wireless play also depends on the quality and configuration of your local network.
