Do I need macOS or Windows for my workflow?
Operating-system compatibility should be the first filter, before processor comparisons. If a required application, plug-in, device driver or corporate management tool is Windows-only, buy a Windows mini PC. If your work depends on macOS software or close integration with Apple hardware, the Mac mini avoids compatibility workarounds.

Apple has made an “up to 6x faster” comparison claim in its announcement. That is Apple’s own claim, not an independent test, and the announcement does not specify a neutral cross-platform methodology. Treat it as marketing context rather than a guaranteed result in your software.
